The apartment is beautifully located and most major Parisien Landmarks are in walking distance.
Owner is very responsive and the check in process is very easy.
However: The Apartment has only one key. Which is fine if you are by yourself or always leave and return together.
Very inconvenient if you have more than one person and separate itineraries.
The bathroom door leaks significantly and we ended up standing in the back of the shower (you cannot stand in shower pan) to avoid bathroom flooding.
Interior is nice, but bit dated with a chair where the upholstery it totally torn and ripped. beds are comfortable and check out instructions are easy to follow.
We are glad that the apartment met your expectations and that you enjoyed the great location. Unfortunately we only have 2 sets of keys at this time so we can provide you with 1 sets maximum. A 2 set must be kept by us in case of an emergency or if guests lock themselves out for example. We would be grateful to be given a second chance to host you in the future.
Good location near Louvre Museum
My daughter (10 years old) and I stayed at this apartment during Thanksgiving holiday. The location near the Louvre (Palais Royal) Metro stop is excellent, and it is on a side street away from traffic. The apartment itself is very neat and clean, with a large living space and decent bedroom. The kitchen space is very minimal, and the bathroom is very tiny although functional. There is a really lovely little bakery a just a few doors down from the apartment -- we got fresh croissants there every morning, as well as salads and soup. And there are multiple brassieries very nearby for dinner and drinks, which was very convenient. It is not a very quiet area, but this is the heart of Paris and to be expected. My main issues were the lingering odor of smoke in the apartment, which I was told was caused by the neighbors -- I have never smoked, so this bothered me. The check-in process is a bit complex -- it relies on meeting up with a property manager who provides the keys. Make sure you can text with him/her to coordinate initial access to the apartment.
It sounds like your family had a great time in Paris and we are glad to have contributed to your experience. The location certainly is hard to beat and the neighborhood gives you a great taste of the true Paris. We appreciate you recommending us to friends and relatives and look forward to having all of you back again soon. Please be in touch so we can provide you a special rate for returning guests. À très bientôt!
You can’t do better for location in Paris. Just steps from the Louvre. Next door to a great bakery. Quiet block. Bedroom is in the back, and it is quiet.
Here are the negatives - and they are minor!!- the bathroom is off the bedroom, so this apt is best for a couple. The mattress is not the most comfortable, and felt to be of lower quality. There was no soap in the bathroom. Not even hand soap. (There was dish soap, a sponge, and laundry soap). We used the laundry, and hung it to dry on the towel rack because there was no drying rack. But there were two vacuums in the closet, which was odd. We also appreciated the iron + full size ironing board. And hair dryer. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, and there was a roll of paper towels, which we didn’t use. The trick to preventing the shower from flooding the floor is a) don’t turn it on full blast and b) angle the shower head away from the door. Pictures of the apt are accurate. WiFi works great. We never turned on the TV. Loved it. Highly recommended.
Thank you for the nice review, Eleazar. We are glad you enjoyed the unbeatable location of the apartment and we hope you were able to see all the places you wanted to visit. We only provide a small starter pack of toilet paper, soaps and shampoos to kick off your stay and we suggest that guests like yourself who are staying for an extended period either pack these toiletries or plan on purchasing them during your stay. These can easily be found in the nearby grocery store. We hope you'll be in touch for a future visit to London or Paris so you may benefit from our discounted rates for our returning guests. Cheers until next time!

The location in Paris is great.
The key transfer was on time but quick. Some European differences could be better explained to U.S. tourists. We were able to educate ourselves with the book in the room.
The linens were in all the drawers which made it difficult to put our clothes in the drawers. It was good to have extra linens because the first shower revealed the shower door has a gap at the bottom that flooded the floor. We were able to work with the volume of water to avoid again. I tried to remove screen to insure better drainage but could not get it out.
We were asked to respect the other tenants by being quiet but the rule does not always apply to them as we were blasted awake to Raspberry beret at 12:30 am on Saturday night. We get it though.
Just could not get the song out of my head.
The stove top unit we never used but who wants to cook when in Paris. Please replace the worn cushion on the chair at the desk. That antiquity is unnecessary.
Finally there was a large vase of dead Lily’s in the closet.
Otherwise we made it our home and would definitely like to rent it again if ever in Paris . We would recommend it to anyone we know that might go.
It was our pleasure to share our home with a fantastic group of people. Please come again, you are always welcome! Like any apartment located in the heart and center of a busy city like Paris, a little noise is to be expected, especially if you choose to open the windows. While this can take some getting used to, it is not overly noisy nor disturbing. Unfortunately our plants suffered a little this summer due to the unusually high temperatures we experienced this summer. We are working to bring them back to a healthy state and if we do not manage, we will simply remove them and wait for the springtime to replant some new ones. We look forward to hosting you all again in the future and will be glad to give you a special discount for your second visit. A très bientôt!
Very nice centrally located flat
This felt like true Paris. At first I was surprised at the lack of A/C and ability to shut out street sound. By the end of my stay I came to really enjoy it and feel like this is the Paris I really wanted to experience.
There are some (sometimes) noisy walk-up cafes on the street below- quite Sunday-Wed nights, somewhat loud the other nights. But you can always shut the windows and modulate the sound.
Having the washer/dryer was a big benefit.
Seth was a lot of help on the check-in and accommodated my schedule.

Amazing location. I've been traveling to Paris for years, and this is perfect. Cafes around, 2 amazing bakeries, a monoprix and a lovely marche nearby, 5 minutes from the Louvre, walking distance to almost everywhere and convenient to metro.
The flat is charming and is well-appointed enough to suffice. It has a small fridge, a microwave, a full stove, and a coffee set up and electric kettle. Enough dishes and cutlery. There was toilet paper and paper towels, but no soap. The blow dryer was much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, and my fellow traveler said the same about the sofa bed. Plenty of towels and linens. A great flat screen tv. It could use a couple of really comfy chairs, as the sofa is more like a loveseat.
The bedroom was quiet, but if you're putting someone on the living room pullout, it's a little bright (blackout shades would help) and slightly noisy until about 10 with the windows open, as it faces the street and there is a cafe below. We had no problems with this.
The bathroom is quite small, as is the shower. Water pressure is fantastic, and really hot. As other reviewers have mentioned, you need to be careful - the drain is slow, and there is a gap at the bottom of the shower door, the combination of which can lead to an overflow. Once we figured this out, we were able to make it work. The place wasn't cleaned quite enough, but we made the owner aware of this and they were very apologetic. Once again, this didn't hamper our stay at all.
The owner and his assistants were great. Clear in their communication, check in went perfectly, and the few issues I emailed them about were responded to promptly. A lovely team.
So - if you want a delightful French flat in a dream location, this is your place.
Dear Lesley, thank you for the nice review. We are glad you enjoyed the unbeatable location of the apartment and we hope you were able to see all the places you wanted to visit. We are sorry that you find bathroom is small. While the bathroom is compact, it is fully functional and the hot water is typically plentiful. We are sorry to hear you found the shower a bit difficult to use. It is not uncommon for Parisian bathrooms to have this type of handheld hose for a shower as the buildings and bathrooms are quite historic. With a little practice and getting used to, it becomes an easy task. We hope you'll be in touch for a future visit to London or Paris so you may benefit from our discounted rates for our returning guests. Cheers until next time!
