Dream vacation rental!

We definitely recommend this place!

The location in Maalaea is a great central location, and very easy to get to. It is across the street from the Maui Ocean center, next door to many of the boat excursions, and less than 30 minutes from Kahului, Lahaina, or Kihei. Best of all, the condo is NOT in a chintzy tourist area, so you can enjoy peaceful ocean views and beach access.

Kitchen is well stocked, and the owner leaves snorkels, beach chairs, and most anything else you could want. Everything is clean and pretty well maintained. Separate bedrooms easily accommodate 4, although the back bedroom has less airflow and might be less comfortable on especially hot days. Most days, though, the trade winds provide a steady rush of fresh air.

But best of all, the view outside your window is absolutely stunning! No better way to wake up than with coffee on the balcony overlooking the bay, and no better way to finish your day in the evening. Just awesome!

Maui April 2017

The condo was perfect for our family of 4. Keeping the 2 beds in the 2nd bdrm as twins for our 13 and 11 yr old worked out great. Beautiful evening breezes and view of the boats coming in and out of the harbor. Top of the complex so no real noise from the neighbors. We saw the Sea Turtles in the adjoining water and even talked to some local fishermen with their fresh catch. The location of the condo was good; the drive to Lahina was not too far and plenty of beach access along the way. We did all the touristy stuff - Luau, zipline, horseback riding, snorkel/snuba, Front St. and drove to mil. marker 45 to Hana to see the blow hole and some "scared" pools....busy week!!. Next time I want to spend more time just "sitting on the beach" : ) . The condo is close to a Walmart & not too far from Safeway. Costco is just around the corner from the airport. There were ample toiletries provided (kleenex, TP, soap) for our 7 day stay in the condo; as well as spices (if you really wanted to cook); plus some games, books and movies in the TV cabinet. Carl's Jr and Circle K are on the corner too! We appreciated the available beach chairs, cooler and umbrella; even a boogie board. Even the resident cats added to our positive experience (just a touch of home !!).

As many will tell you, there is a bug issue on the Island. But we did not find them too bad (mostly dead) and Terminex actually came by the complex during our stay. Privacy in the master bedroom can be an issue, as there are no window coverings from the patio sliding glass door to the master. We had smokers below us for the first 2 days, so that was a bummer that we could not enjoy the patio and had to close the doors/windows during their smoking. But they left before us, so it was all good from that point on !!

Overall, this was a great choice for us. We also had family rent in the same complex (2nd floor) during our stay and they also had a good experience. We would both highly recommend this specific condo and this condo complex to anyone looking to stay in Maui.

Time in Maui

We LOVED our time in this condo.

Centrally located between all of the things to do in Maui.

The harbor was a real added plus.

We loved watching the boats coming and going. We got to know each vessel and their time schedule.

Walking distance to the harbor and the town of Maaleaha.

Condo was very comfortable. The lania was where we spend most of our time when we were in the condo.

Very easy to get to from the airport. Whales were starting to come in. Great condo to do some serious whale watching.

Absolutely wonderful

I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience staying at Rebecca Quigleys unit at Maalaea Yacht Marina. The unit was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials one could ask for. We booked it within a few days of leaving for the islands, and was very impressed on the quick response. Will definitely be staying here again and telling all our friends and family.

We really enjoyed going to eat at Beach Bum right there in the Harbor

Also, Matt the manager was also very helpful and the property is absolutely beautiful🌺󞠊

Beautiful relaxing condo!

We stayed 5 nights at the condo and enjoyed every minute. Kitchen is beautiful and well stocked; we cooked most meals there. The view from the kitchen, master bedroom and lanai are wonderful. We could see the turtles right from the lanai every day.

The winds at Maalaea Bay are strong, but that made for decent cooling of the condo every day. There is no central a/c but for the most part it wasn't bothersome. I didn't choose to boil anything on the stove, run the oven, and made sure to close blinds at times sun was directly shining in, but that's all common sense in a place in the summer. I live in the mountains and we don't have a/c either so you just learn to work around it. If you're wanting 65 degree temps inside though, then you may want to rethink this place. Otherwise, it was just fine without a/c. We were in the tropics afterall!

The nearby beach was nice, lots of turtle sightings and within walking distance. It was nice having coolers, snorkel, boogie boards and towels available as well.

Maalaea Bay is easy driving distance to many places on the island. We easily drove around the northwest part of Maui around Lahaina and back to Kahalui one day, as well as a day trip to Hana and down to Haleakala to watch the sunset. Bundle up - it's cold up there!

Try Mana Foods in Paia for groceries. It's a hippie coop with fresh cooked foods, salad bar and groceries with a lot of local produce. Prices are reasonable. Paia is a fun town with a great vibe. It's abou 15 minutes from the condo. Mambo Cafe is a fun place for lunch.

Overall, we had a great stay at the Quigley's condo and would be glad to go back! It was quiet, relaxing, comfortable and in a good location. Rebecca was very helpful with info prior to the trip and reservations were quick and easy.

I love to experience Maui from my guests' perspective as it oftentimes gives me ideas of new places to visit or restaurants to eat at. You know, my husband and I lived full-time in the condo for several years prior to remodeling it and we never felt the need for A/C. Part of enjoying Hawaii is enjoying the outdoors while inside while listening to the rustle of the palm trees and the ocean coming to shore. We usually have great Tradewinds and it seldom gets above the mid 80s in our area. I am so glad you had a great time!.
