Great apartment, plenty of room, very clean and so close to everything!!! Eleonora is so sweet and truly cares about her guests... Would definitely stay again... The one bedroom was just as great, took a look while we were there...
My cousin and myself spent 6 wonderful days in the apartment. It was so nice to return to the apartment after a day of touring. It felt like a home. The owner was so gracious and helpful to us even before we arrived. She gave us help in obtaining a driver to take us around Tuscany. She met us at apartment and gave us an excellent tour and instructions for the apartment. It is a beautiful apartment well appointed. You have everything you would need.It is in a great location steps from Duomo. There is bar just across the street if you want coffee.Grocery store close. We did not cook but you can .The kitchen has everything you need.I would highly recommend to stay here.I plan to come back and stay here.
We can't say enough good things about this apartment and its location whose listing description was accurate. The property was clean and well-maintained with additional amenities including good reading and reference books. The kitchen was fully equipped. It was centrally located yet had a sense of neighborhood. The convenience of location was terrific for us. We were able to find our way through Florence as well as use local bus transportation to travel beyond the city. Eleonora suggested restaurants and places with clear instruction and maps to assist us. The restaurants were superb. She provided clear instructions for appliances and the instructions were available to remind us. The only improvement we could suggest is perhaps a chart of the relation between wall switches and light fixtures, which we found confusing all week. But this is a tiny, minor criticism in what was by and large a beautifully illuminated refuge for grateful American travelers! We will recommend this "home away from home" with confidence and pleasure.
What makes San Miniato apartment a good value is the fact it was the owners' home for 21 years. The quality of the renovation and equipment reflect good taste and comfort and pride of ownership that is often missing in investor-owned apartments. It is meticulously maintained.
Eleonora met us at the front door of the building and gave us a full tutorial of the apartment's features and functions. She answered our questions and gave recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. At her suggestion, we made a day trip on the public bus to Fiosole, a small gem of a village with Roman-era ruins and an early Christian-era convent that became a highlight of our visit to Florence.
As for location, one can walk from San Miniato to all key museums and churches within 20-30 minutes or less. This includes the train station for day trips to Lucca or Siena. If we return to Florence, we will definitely return to San Miniato and we would recommend it without reservation.

We stayed 16 days in Florence (1 through September 17, 2016), which were magical for me and my husband (we both have about 60 years of age).
And wemust say that, mainly, this great stay was due to two factors:
(1) The owner of the house, Eleonora: she was always available, since our first contact, and spared no effort to help us organize our vacations in Tuscany. At our request, she booked a space for us, in a local garage, so we could park the car we rented and gave us all the information we needed about all kinds of subjects. So, when we left for Italy, we were completely at ease, knowing that we would have all the support we needed. And we were right ... when we got to the apartment, we were greeted, with sympathy by that lovely lady, who, after explaining how everything in the apartment worked, also informed us about the location of several supermarkets in the area, so we could buy everything we needed. We also talked about villages and towns in Tuscany that deserved to be visited, as well as about the best/more interesting museums inFlorence;
(2) The "San Miniato": it is a large, confortable apartment, tastefully decorated, very clean and equipped with all the best quality appliances. From the living room, kitchen and one of the bedrooms windows we could see,we were really very near the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo). This means you can walk to / visit all the tourist attractions, including museums, churches and galleries, even those who are in the Oltrarno. At night, we could lgo out, at will, and stroll the pedestrian streets of the center, go to the river, the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and so on. We should add that, when we return to the apartment, tired after a long day, walking around, we felt as if we were in our own home. The "San Miniato" was, in our opinion, a perfect family home.
Thank you for everything Eleonora, we will never forget this vacation, or your availability and kindness

Delightful, clean and fully equipped for a great holiday!
We had the pleasure of spending 6 nights in the Battistero Apartment during early August, 2016. This is the second time we have had the pleasure of staying in Eleonora’s apartments, the first time having been two years ago when we stayed in her San Miniato Apartment.
Like the other apartment, the Battistero is fully equipped, very clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It has great security, an elevator, and excellent air conditioning.
We made use of the fully equipped kitchen, enjoying a couple of home cooked dinners, taking a break from the good closely located restaurants. The complete laundry facilities also came in handy on our extended Italian holiday.
A home away from home … right in the centre of beautiful Florence!
Eleonora is a wonderful host, punctual and full of useful information regarding all the wonderful places you can visit from your centrally located accommodation.
Having been impressed with the location and standard of accommodation we returned a second time, and if we have the opportunity, will go back again!
