We had another fantastic holiday at Le petit St Nazaire, our second one as a family with 3 young children. Wendy and Pat have been the perfect hosts, they take great care of the property and apartments, while Wendy is tending to keeping the garden immaculate, Pat is cleaning the pool every morning.

On arrival we had a stocked up fridge, baguette and wine, which is an extraordinary service and well appreciated after a long journey. There are several places that have been established in the garden where you can eat depending if you prefer shade or sun.

For our children there is so much to do in the garden, equipped with slide, climbing rack and play house, the kids love those hidden areas. The pool is the top attraction equipped with lots of water toys. Wendy and Pat have not complained once about the occasional wild and noisy moments ..... that's kids, thank you!! Our children have loved every single day and are already planning the next trip.

Also there is a long petanque pitch where we had a great competition evening.

Capestang is a lovely little village, situated perfectly to discover many other sights in the vicinity. The canal du midi is amazing and has so many lovely places to stop.

Fantastic beaches are a 20 - 30min drive away. We liked Serignan plage and the stretch between Agde and Sete.

This year we did a trip to the Dali Museum in Fuerges, Spain, which is a 1.5h drive.

Wendy and Pat, thank you so much for making our holiday perfect, we hope to visit you again in the future, we couldn't have asked for neither better hosts nor a better location.

We had a fabulous stay at Le Petit Saint Nazaire and cannot recommend it highly enough. We arrived late in the evening but Wendy and Pat were ready to welcome us and show us what we needed to know before the morning. Wendy and Pat had arranged a fantastic welcome gift of wine, bread, cheese, fruit and milk which was a godsend when arriving so late.

The gites are lovely and the kitchen is well stocked with equipment and utensils that you might need. Wendy and Pat were also keen to help with equipment we might need for our 2 year old, providing stair gates, a high chair and a bed guard for us to use.

Our children are 2 and 7 and they loved the pool and garden. Wendy and Pat have worked hard to produce a beautiful garden that is an absolute pleasure to spend time in. The climbing frame, slide, little house and toys kept the children amused when they were not swimming in the pool. There are tables and chairs in various places around the garden so you can sit in the sun or shade, whatever your preference, at different times of the day. There are lovely spots where you can appreciate the sunrise over the fields of sunflowers or the sunset over the vineyards.

The pool was perfect on hot days and there were lots of inflatables for the children to play with. In the evening, when the lights came on, it was stunning to sit outside.

Wendy and Pat are there to answer any questions you might have and gave us some really helpful information about places to visit. We had a lovely time visiting the incredible Carcassone, a beach day at Sérignan Plage and a day swimming and paddling at Bize-Minervois.

My husband is a keen road cyclist and enjoyed several rides around the area.

We hope to go back in the future and still have so much to do and see. We all absolutely loved our stay and look forward to seeing Wendy and Pat again soon.

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans le gîte de Wendy et Pat qui nous ont accueillis à notre arrivée avec une corbeille de fruits et avaient laissé à notre intention dans le frigo du beurre, du fromage, du jus d'orange et du lait, sans oublier du pain et un peu de vin. La piscine est très propre, parfaitement entretenue, et les enfants ont passé des heures à y jouer. Jeux divers, bouées, matelas, pistolets à eux: un petit paradis pour les enfants, d'autant plus que la piscine est à 5 mètres du gîte lui-même. Les photos sont parfaitement conformes à la réalité. L'appartement est propre et très fonctionnel, les deux chambres à l'étage sont grandes et disposent de rangements nombreux. Il faisait très chaud dans l'appartement de jour comme de nuit car nous avons réservé en pleine période de canicule et de ce fait la piscine a été un réel plus dans notre séjour. Merci encore à Wendy et Pat pour leur accueil.et pour leur gentillesse. Nous nous souviendrons de notre passage chez eux.

Wendy et Pat vous accueillent avec le plus grand soin dans une magnifique propriété. Très bel endroit à trois kilomètres de la ville, piscine et jardin très agréables et entretenus chaque matin par les propriétaires. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et recommandons vivement cet endroit.

The gites are situated adjacent to the owner's (Wendy and Pat) house, about 3 km south of Capestang. On arrival, Wendy offered us the choice of either gite - it was a difficult choice as both are delightful, very comfortable, and fully equipped; we opted for the one Wendy had prepared to cause least upheaval. Out gite was spotlessly clean, with an ample relaxation area (with choice of British or French TV!), separate dining area, and a sizeable, fully equipped - and I mean fully! - kitchen area. Upstairs are two nicely sized bedrooms with great views, comfortable beds, and ample hanging/drawer space; the modern bathroom is also found on this floor. Outside, to the front is the entrance drive with ample parking; to the rear, there is a personal alfresco dining table just outside, but also many more to choose from dotted around the large garden. The pool is perfect for cooling off on the typical hot days from May to September - and just as nice to lounge around soaking up the sun.

The whole setting is completely rural, with fantastic distant views all around.

Wendy and Pat are the most delightful hosts, very friendly, informative, and helpful - on arrival, we found that Wendy had provided bread, milk, tea, sugar, biscuits, cheese, and a bottle of a superb wine; living next door, it was reassuring to know there was always help on hand if necessary, but otherwise, they were both completely low profile.

We stayed for a week towards the end of October - for a change, we didn't want the usual hot, sunny, pool-dipping, lounger-reclining sort of holiday, we wanted cooler weather to explore the region thoroughly. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed warm, sunny days, and visited several very interesting historical sites, and, of course, the various seaside resorts. That's another great thing about the location - just far enough away to feel completely rural, but only 30 minutes drive from the coast, 20 minutes from Narbonne, 10 minutes to Capestang, and 5 minutes to Lidl!

All in all, we had a really wonderful stay and can thoroughly recommend either gite to families or couples who can enjoy a lazy, relaxing holiday around the pool, or use the stay as a base for touring the region - or a bit of both.
