The apartment was difficult for our 2 GPS’s (Car & portable) to find. We had to use the city map sign posted at the beginning of the city to find our way.
We were welcomed by Vincenzo and Maria Giovanna who greeted us with a lovely large basket of fruit and oriented us to the house and easy free street parking. .
(Note: the main switch to activate the air conditioner is on the rear patio near the outdoor sink, and the common washing machine is outside accessed via a side road.)
It is a lovely home with a well-stocked kitchen, two bathrooms (one ensuite). We enjoyed our dinners on the front patio with food cooked on the rear BBQ!
(Note: Bring your insect repellent!)
Accessing the beach is a bit circuitous - via side streets, and it is tiring when returning to the apartment from the grocery store – due to a lot of dead-end streets necessitating a long indirect route.
We enjoyed the promenade, and the pedestrian only streets - lined with interesting stores and great restaurants. It is a great home base to visit attractions lilke Scopello, The Salt Works near Trapani, and the ruins at Segesta.
