Fantastic holiday!

Rue Amelie was a great location, easy walks to everywhere we wanted to go, we walked to the Eiffel Tower every day!

Patrick was very easy to deal with and his apartment suited our needs perfectly. Also, being on the 4th floor, it was very quiet.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Patrick's apartment and would certainly go there again when next we visit Paris.

Couldn't Be Better!!

This apartment is exactly as pictured--in fact, it's larger than we imagined from the pictures. Elevator works quickly & well--we never used the stairs during our two week stay in September. Windows face on a very quiet street, good beds (even the pull out sofa bed is very comfortable), easy sleeping. Kitchen well-equipped and roomy. We did not use the dishwasher but were glad to have it available. Washer & dryer were life-savers as they allowed us to pack fewer clothes so we needed only carry-on luggage for our flights. Shower has good water pressure flow and we liked the double bathroom sinks. Ample closet and drawer storage (there is even a special closet for shoes.) We were only 2 but this flat could accommodate a family of 4 or 5 or 2 couples. Owners were very responsive to our questions and came right over to help when we couldn't figure out the TV setup.

BEST OF ALL--LOCATION! This apartment is in the heart of Rick Steves' highly recommended Rue Cler neighborhood where real Parisians far outnumber tourists. Cafes, restaurants, boutiques, epiceries, pharmacies, tabacs, & boulangeries abound. Also, small American style full service grocery stores are near. Don't feel like cooking? Need take out for a picnic? Close by charcuteries, traiteurs (like delis)and epiceries offer delicious take out. For cheese, do not miss the Fromagerie on Rue Cler (one street away) for wide selection and friendly advice. Excellent wine store offering knowledgeable recommendations in all price ranges also on Rue Cler (Wine Bacchus). Easy walk to the Seine, the Alexander Bridge, Eiffel Tower and Champs de Mars, Les Invalides, & Rodin Museum. Taxi stands, Metro stops, and bus stops close by on Rues Grenell and St. Dominique. There is an SNCF boutique store on St. Dominque if you want to schedule train trips outside Paris (far simpler & quicker than buying at a train station). For an authentic, reasonably -priced French lunch or dinner, do not miss Cafe Constant about 3 or 4 blocks away on Rue St. Dominique. (Rick Steves' Paris guide has a very useful section on Rue Cler neighborhood that helped us learn the area highlights quickly.)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you, Genevieve and Patrick!

Fantastic Location

Our first trip to Paris was enhanced by staying at Patrick and Genevieve's charming apartment. We were able to shop the local markets for wine, cheese, baguettes and produce and have a kitchen to prepare our feast. The location couldn't have been better with the Metro very close and the Eiffel Tower almost always in view. If only they could have provided cooler weather! The two fans were life savers, as well as the lift. We would recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Paris. One nice addition would be a small table and two chairs in front of the open window in living room.

It didn't dissapoint...... We loved this apartment in Paris - District 7

The apartment was exactly as advertised in the pictures which was comforting when booking online. It was very clean and well laid out. It had everything you needed to enjoy your stay and we were there for four nights. Very safe and quiet neighbourhood, in close walking distance to Metro, restaurants, Eiffel Tower etc. It had an amazing pastisserie / boulangerie right around the corner and we had fresh hot bread every morning and yummy pastries for dessert. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and we loved the two bathroom sinks and full bathtub. The kitchen was well equipped and there was lots of storage areas. The internet was stable and reliable. We loved coming home after a day of site seeing into this fresh inviting space. We appreciated the convenient washer and dryer. There was plenty of linens and blankets. We loved the separate sofa bed for our daughter and still another sofa to sit on in the living room for us adults. All in all this apartment was perfect for our needs as a tourist and a good size for Paris. We would highly recommend it to our friends and if we ever return we will look to book this space again. The only two little comments to share which are pretty insignificant is that we wished there was colourful pictures on the lovely clean white walls and that there wasn't enough toilet paper supplied. We didn't need to communicate with owners (as there were no issues) during our stay so we can't comment on that. We were super satisfied with our choice to stay here.

We arrived at the apartment and were greeted by the cleaning lady (not by Patrick), who unfortunately did not have a full knowledge of how everything works and just spent a quick 5 minutes going over everything. Due to her poor instructions, we were unable to use the dryer on the last day. Their machines are quite different than in the US, you must empty the condensation receptacle or the dryer does not work. Also, unfortunately, the refrigerator was not working properly and it took 3 days before it got cold. The indicated response time of 12 hours to any problems, was not accurate. in fact, Patrick never responded to our calls.

On the positive side, the apartment is very large, especially for Paris' standards. The location is the best, we stayed at another apartment later on and we missed this location. Everything is nearby, restaurants, sights, shopping, markets, metro, taxis (one block away), and even a laundromat (though you don't need it with this apartment). The bed was the most comfortable bed we stayed in. The bathroom is very large and it was nice to have two sinks. The apartment has a lot of storage space. Also, it was nice to have a lift.

Resposta do proprietário: It is true i was not in PARIS for check and gave any explanations about appliances. I received a call by William with a hide number and he let any message. Usually when we receive hide number call, it is ever for publlicity. I don't reply at this kind of call to not be disturb by publicity companies. I didn't suspect it could be William in my apartment. They never let me a message on my answering machin, to tell problem with dryer and fridge. that is why i didn’t call him once because i don’t know who he was? (with hide number) The last day, he let a message an the answering machin and tell me who he was and i came immediately to fix the problem with dryer and fridge. (Not only 5 minutes it is not true). We talked together around 1 hour together. So that is not very far with by them to write that because i explain that his number was hidden and we cannot call her with no number and we fix immediately the problem when i receive the message on the ans
