No topo do castelo, um magnífico terraço com vista para a vinha circundante e para a aldeia. Acesso gratuito a 2 quadras de tênis a 2 minutos a pé. As atividades são oferecidas no local: aluguel de bicicletas, quad circuito no estuário e um jogo de fuga com 2 quartos. As praias de areia são 25 minutos de carro e várias cidades históricas como Saintes, Saint Emilion ou Bordeaux estão entre 30 e 45 minutos. Degustações de vinhos e conhaque podem ser feitas nas propriedades vizinhas. Uma pista de karting é 10 km e Royan, boliche e zoológico La Palmyre.

Chateau de la Place
We had a wonderful two week stay in September with a mix of family and friends.
The Chateau is a stunning property, full of character and charm. We found it to be very well equipped with everything you would need to cater for a large group.
The pool, hot tub, bouls and table tennis were very popular with all our guests.
The bedrooms are all spacious with beautiful views.
The dining room was large enough for everyone to sit and eat together and we spent most evenings here playing games and enjoying local cheese and wine.
The Chateau is located in a charming village with a Boulangerie and a small supermarket that we used every day. Large supermarkets are located within 10 miles.
You need transport if you want to eat out as there are no restaurants within easy walking distance. However, there are some lovely villages/towns a short drive away with pleanty of cafes and restaurants.
We had meals provided by Katie, a local caterer on a couple of evenings which worked very well.
I would recommend trying the Escape room, this was great fun.
We fully recommend this Chateau and hope to visit again in the future.

Stunning historical house with masses of space
We were a group of 4 families with 10 kids ranging in age from 2-13 & we had a great time. The house is gorgeous & there is masses of space for everyone. The pool table & piano were a big hit with the kids, as was the hot tub. We adults loved sitting around in the garden (until the mosquitoes appeared - they are vicious!) & walking round the very pretty village. It is a shame that the cafe bar opposite is closed at the moment as there is no bar or restaurant in walking distance. The shop & bakery were handy though & the house is so lovely we enjoyed our time there

A beautiful chateau, full of character, in a wonderful location
We had a wonderful week at the Chateau de la Place, and loved the amazing chateau, the village, and the area. Our large family group varied in age from 4 months to 60s, and each and every one of us enjoyed the holiday immensely. Matt was a wonderful host, friendly and efficient, and with lots of helpful advice. The pool was a great hit with everyone, and we spent many happy hours in the chateau gardens, enjoying the pool, the hot tub, the barbecue and the games. We would love to have another holiday at the chateau!

Super séjour !
Nous avons passés un super WE au château de la place avec un très bon accueil.Tout est réuni pour passer un bon séjour en groupe (nous étions 20) et il ne manque rien (barbecue, piscine, jacuzzi, terrain de pétanque,...). Le château est situé au cœur d'un petit village mais cela ne pose aucun problème pour la tranquillité vu l'espace du jardin et du château. Le jardin est magnifique ! Nous sommes prêts à revenir pour un futur séjour.
