We recently returned from our week long stay at this home. It was spacious (there were two families staying in the house), well maintained and had all the amenities that we were looking for (beach towels, beach chairs, pool toys, etc.). When we drove into the complex for the first time we were a bit unsure about what we were getting into. A few of the homes seem like they have been deserted and/or not maintained. Our concerns were quickly dispelled. The house is beautiful and less than 50 yards from the most secluded beach we have ever been to. The beach is not immaculate since this is not a resort. However, with a little removal of some seaweed, we literally had a little slice of paradise and 4 miles of beach to ourselves! The water was warm, there were a ton of sand dollars and starfish and most importantly no crowds.
We ate at local restaurants which were great and inexpensive. There is a shopping mall 3 miles away with everything you need. This spot was absolutely perfect for a family getaway. Especially if you are looking to avoid crowded beaches and expensive swim up bars. Arturo addressed our minor concerns right away and made our stay fantastic. Truly amazing!
The house was spacious with beautiful furnishings. This group of seven ladies had plenty of space to spread out and the pool & pool area were fantastic! We were close to beaches, San Juan, the rain forest & shopping! We would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away from the tourist traffic!
WOW! We have used Homeaway to rent many vacations rentals in many locales. This home goes above and beyond anything we have ever rented. The first impression upon entering was "clean"! It smelled clean and fresh, and it was. The furniture is in excellent condition. The home is decorated beautifully. The kitchen is fully stocked and much bigger than the photos show. Every bed is comfortable and very new! I can't emphasize that enough! The linens are also very nice - soft, clean and smell good. We enjoyed the covered patio and pool area every day - that is where we spent most of our time. The upstairs deck is a great place to watch the sun rise and drink your coffee. The beach is literally a few steps away and we never saw anyone else on it. It is very private and we loved it. Our adult children swam in the ocean every day. Arturo has boogie boards and beach chairs in the garage to take to the beach. We found that helpful. A great restaurant is just around the corner from the community! Definitely give it a try. The ice cream shop next door is also good! Don't miss the wildlife reserve just down the road. We kayaked the mangroves and thoroughly enjoyed it. The people there are very friendly and informative. El Yunque rain forest is another highlight and only 40 minutes away. We loved everything about Arturo's home and highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet beach home for a family vacation! Thank you, Arturo, for sharing your wonderful home with us!
My family and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay in Puerto Rico from Feb.22 to March 1. We wished we had more time as it seemed to move too fast. Other than getting side tracked when we were driving down to Arturo's home by Humacao on the night of our arrival, we found the home very warm and relaxing to help us enjoy our time. The rooms were very spacious and everyone was able to do what they wanted whenever they wanted to. We were able to enjoy the variety of food, from the food tents in the area, to the kiosks and restaurants that we went to. We were also able to enjoy cooking at the house when we wanted to just relax and kick back.
We spent a lot of time at the beach which was not crowded at all. Our almost 5 year old grandson loved the surf and boogie boarding almost daily. The temps in the 80's were a nice change from our Minnesota home.
We were able to take some small trips to some of the areas to the north of Humacao and even a charter with Paco to Monkey Island to see more sites in that area of the country.
We did have a couple of minor issues that came up and Arturo's response was very supportive and responsive.
We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in Puerto Rico and we have already started our discussions of another vacation in the future.
The photos do not do this home justice. It's a beautiful spacious home located at the end of a quiet street which backs to the ocean. Unfortunately, the ocean which is close by is not a place you would go to spend the day or swim, it's just a gorgeous view for some great photos. I loved how the location was out of the resort area and so we got to really expiernce the culture and steer clear from the "tourism." The house was very clean, featured anything you would need to cook or make Drinks and was very welcoming, Overall, I had a great experience and would most defiantly go back and rent a home at this location.
Absolutely stunning beach home about 50 feet from the ocean. We had a group of 9 with plenty of room to spread out. The pool was gorgeous and the covered patio area ended up being where we spent most our our time amongst the perfectly landscaped palm trees and orchids. The quaint town of Punta Santiago is about 2 miles down the road and the city of Humacao is about 6 or 7 miles in the other direction with mutiple easily acessed shopping centers with Wal-Mart, Sams Club, Pizza Hut, and Burger King. However the real prize is the shops at the entrance to Villa Palmiera complete with lively night life and a wide selection of Puerto Rico foods. The is a very nicely maintained Nature Reserve less than a mile from the entrance. It is also located on PR3 with easily and scenic access to the perfect blue water beachs of Loquillo and adventure seeking in Fajardo. It is also a short trip to the rainforests of El Yunque. Highly recommended if you want a slice of bucolic and naturally beautiful Puerto Rico.
