Relaxing and quiet. Loved the daily visit with the goats across the river. Trees full of birds and wildlife made it perfect. We had no issues with the internet so that must have been improved. The village of Wimberley was full of unique shops, wonderful local art and great places to eat. An easy 1 hr drive to both Austin and San Antonio.
We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was very close to my nieces home so it was easy to get back and forth. Beautiful setting on the Blanco River. We loved having our coffee every morning on the back deck over looking the Blanco River!!
Cute house for a small group. Nice and quiet environment.
The location and views of the river were just what we needed to relax and get away from the daily grind. The property was clean and we felt very comfortable and at-home there. We would love to come back in the spring or fall when the weather would be more comfortable to enjoy the great deck on the back of the house. The walkway to the river was very steep, so not ideal for most elderly. Be extra careful when making your way to the river. We hoped to see more deer and wildlife. I think we may have seen a fox right behind the house one evening. It's quite a ways from town but we enjoyed the rural setting. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was a little pricey for what it was. It could have been stocked better with basic items for cooking such as salt and pepper. Also the coffee table leg was broken when we arrived and we were worried the whole time that it was going to fall over. There is no cell services, the wifi is extremely slow and there is no land line to use. So if there was an emergency we would not have been to call for help. Overall it was a great rental.
This place is as beautiful as it looks. The river access is spectacular, the deck is lovely and the house is great. The house was clean and neatly kept.
Only reason I'm not at 5 stars is that the hot tub needed to be cleaned. Lots of floating debris (I think dead leaves). Other than that, it was beautiful!
We spent a wonderful week enjoying the river and relaxing here. There is a beautiful view of the river from the deck, and we spent many evenings sitting on the deck and watching the deer. Some of the deer even ate apples right out of our hands ! Even though there was a drought, the part of the river where we had access was still nice and deep, we swam, fished and swung from the rope swing. There was also a nice walking trail that leads down to a park area. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our family. We loved warming up in the hot tub in the evenings after a cool river swim. There always seemed to be a nice breeze outside, and plenty of shade trees around. It was a nice respite from the blazing Texas Heat. The owners provided a book of fun things to do in the area, and we took advatange of a few. I highly recommend the Aquarena Center, and the glass blowing demonstration. We enjoyed eating at Marco's, and Brewster's Pizza, as well as cooking out on the charcoal grill provided on the back porch. We also loved looking around in the all of the neat little stores in town. It was a great week, and we hated to leave. I understand now why they call Wimberly " a little piece of heaven."
Casa Blanco está localizado na bonita vila de Wimberley. Está a cerca de 45 milhas de Austin e uma hora de distância de San Antonio. San Marcos é de 15 milhas de distância.
