Esta casa confortável está centralmente localizado e oferece excelentes vistas sobre a baía de Apalachicola e St. George Island. Ele fica no lado norte da estrada e à beira-mar fica no lado sul. A orla é excelente para a pesca (ver fotos), picnicing, banhos de sol, ou apenas o seu prazer. St. George Island, que tem uma das mais belas praias do mundo é só atravessar a ponte para o sul da casa. Apalachicola, cheio de casas históricas e ambiente, agitada beira-mar, com muitas lojas artísticas, e ótimos restaurantes de frutos do mar é só atravessar a ponte para o oeste. O nosso concelho é um lugar maravilhoso para encalhando o, pesca e natureza. Não há highrises ou mecas compras. Estamos de volta à natureza. A maioria do nosso concelho é florestas e estuários, quer estaduais ou nacionais. Vida Selvagem e marinelife são abundantes. Estamos também uma das grandes áreas de pesca da Flórida. Quer se trate de água doce, a baía e apartamentos de pesca, ou off-shore, um dia na água é geralmente um dia de sucesso.

Temos 250 'de fachada na Apalachicola Bay que é ótimo para apreciar aqueles belo pôr do sol e nascer do sol.

Nossa casa não é novo; no entanto, é muito confortável, muito bem decorados, e muito acessível. Há um pequeno edifício em volta com lavadora e secadora, e faz um ótimo lugar para guardar as suas bicicletas, tacos de golfe, equipamentos de pesca, etc. Além disso, se você é um golfista, o St. James Bay Golf Course é apenas cerca de 20 minutos de distância. É um curso de classe mundial.

Se você gosta de pescar, o surf, em frente à baía, e frente ribeirinha oferecem tudo que você precisa; no entanto, há uma abundância de capitães em Carrabelle & Apalachicola se você precisa de um guia. Há também barcos e veleiros disponíveis para suas próprias viagens.

Os mercados de frutos do mar oferecem camarão fresco, peixe (garoupa, pargo, linguado, tainha), ostras, (é claro), vieiras, e caranguejo azul.

Cozy bayfront cottage across bridge from St. Georg

Six girlfriends, my little Boston Terrier and I stayed here October 2007. The cottage was sparkling clean, well maintained and comfortably furnished, even though our number was slightly over the actual capacity. (The hide-a-bed mattress is not the most comfortable, but the couch itself sleeps great.)

The cottage is almost literally right across the bridge, very convenient to St. George Island, and reasonably convenient to stores, shopping, etc. Directly across the street is a restaurant where we enjoyed our first lunch, and others are within an easy drive. Our purpose was to get away, and this cottage was perfect. We planned most of our meals in, and the kitchen was adequately furnished. There were plenty of sheets and towels although we went through enough to have to do some washing in the machines at the cottage. We had not brought toilet paper, paper towels or hand soap so had to share a roll the first night, but bought our own when we did our grocery shopping. The yard was partially fenced in, so not a place for an active dog unattended, but was fine and more than large enough for my little old lady. The view of the ocean and night sky is breathtaking, and the owners are as nice people as one can over hope to do business with. I would happily recommend this property to a friend or return their myself.

Fantastic Price and We really loved it

This place was fantastic and we loved it! The price was at least $1500 cheaper than the next closest rental. Also, they are dog friendly, and accommodated our two dogs with no problem. 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a laundry room out back far exceeded our expectations for the price that we paid, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more

Cottage on the bay

Stayed for a week. The cottage has a well stocked kitchen with plenty of plates, mugs, silverware, pots and pans. The oak tree out front was relaxing with a beer in my hand and watching the world go by. Fishing was better than surf fishing or old bridge fishing. At least for us it was. I could get used to this. Nice little cottage for the price. Nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend.

Forgot to mention but I really liked the fact that I didn't have to go up and down stairs.

Easy Living

Great cosy little cottage. The sunrises are breath taking. Fished across the street and had red fish for dinner. Yum Yum. Used to pay big bucks to stay on St. George Island but not any more. My new favourite place. Walk to the best local restaurant around. Close to Apalachicola and St. George Island. No stairs !!!

Will be back soon.

Family fishing getaway

We found this cottage to be extremely cozy with breathtaking sunrise views. The place had a new fresh look - new owners and wow what a difference!'!! Artsy decorations throughout the rooms, new dryer, microwave, refrigerator, central air system which had the house comfortable with no humidity. The shade tree out front was the perfect canopy for relaxing and watching the waves across the St. George Island Sound. We crossed the street to the private beach and were surprised to catch legal size redfish, some catfish, trout, sharks and even the pesky blue crabs. The sunrise pictures that we took are better than any we had seen in any photo gallery. Very very cozy and quiet peaceful setting with a great local family owned seafood restaurant within walking distance (2 blocks) - best fried oysters!!!

It's just a few miles from St. George Island and bridge fishing, but who needs that when you can just grab your rod and bait and walk across the street and catch a variety!

You are just a few miles from the quaint shops of Apalachicola - great shopping for the girls, this little town is booming with new restaurants and activities.

Will definitely be back soon.

Resposta do proprietário: Thank you Sue for your write up! You are 100% correct on the new changes! All of the new appliances and the new central air conditioner/dehumidifier make a huge difference. As well as all of the cosmetic/aesthetic work the new owners have done. Looks like a new place! You should see the yard now!!! We had the pines removed as they were not only blocking the view but could potentially be dangerous. So now we have an unobstructed view of the Bay. Did I mention that we now own the waterfront across the street!!! Makes it great to walk right across the road to your own private waterfront access and relax. We had recent guests that were catching huge redfish right in front of the house. I put a couple pictures on the site. We are waiting on the county to dredge the area in front of the house and then we will have access to deep water!! Who knows, maybe a dock one day??? Thanks again Sue and let me know when you guys are ready to come down. Would love to see you!! Aaron

Birthday Celebration

I debated if I should write a review or not as I don't like to be negative but at the same time, I feel honest feedback IS important & I feel I need to say something, so here goes. I was disappointed with this rental. As soon as we opened the door, there was an odor, kinda like a musty smell. I don't have a good sense of smell but when I DO smell something, it's usually pretty strong, so that right there tells you something. It just seemed to me the place needed an airing out. There were daddy longlegs in both showers, AND three in the back bedroom. One was already dead. We decided to clear up the two in the front bathroom & use that shower. BOTH shower curtains need to be removed & either washed or replaced. Same goes for the bed quilts, the one on the queen bed is quite worn out. Also, the quilt on the double bed, REALLY needs to be replaced, it was in better condition than the other two BUT there is a blood stain on it that looks like it's been there a while. Sorry but that did it for me. We were there for 5 days & there was only one toilet roll in each bathroom, surely there could have been more. No coffee filters for the coffee machine, luckily we discovered that before the next morning & were able to get some at the store before it closed. I NEED my morning coffee lol. Also, no washing up liquid, we had to go buy that too. These are things I guess we took for granted, would be there. We took our trash out as it seemed the right thing to do only to discover the outside trash was over flowing. There was a note it asking the tenants to take it out on Thursday mornings but no one had. Not something I'm thinking about while on vacation. We arrived on a Thursday evening & left on a Tuesday so this did not apply to us but I don't blame the other tenants for not doing it. I feel the owners, housekeeping girls should be responsible for this. In closing, I have to be honest & I'm sure you have realized by now from reading this, I would NOT recommend this property to anyone. Truth is sometines hard to take. The place is tidy but I'd suggest getting a different cleaning crew in, I shouldn't be sharing with daddy longlegs in the shower or bathroom. Looks like they have been there a while. If you are cleaning well, HOW do you miss those? Also, I agree the fridge should be replaced, looks like it has had much better days. Owners never contacted us ONCE during our stay, even though the had with other renters.

Resposta do proprietário: I'm sorry this anniversary couple were dissatisfied with as they said was a "tidy cottage". This cottage is not what you would find in Destin. Almost everyone that stays here loves it. I contacted the new renters that came in the very next day. No complaint, other than had a problem getting started with Dish TV. (resolved) The shower curtains and bedding may not be the newest, but all are clean!!!!! I check these things myself. And, I agree, the daddy long legs should not be there, but we have the cottage sprayed every month by Terminix. AND, it is in the middle of the woods!!!!! So, it was definitely possible. (We stayed at the Hyatt in Orlando last month and had a spider on the wall next to the bed, but we took care of it) In addition, we do not provide more than a couple rolls of toilet paper to get people through first day or two. We have no idea how much these people use, and we do not supply coffee or filters. The cottage is clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Also, I did speak with the husband that week and asked if all was ok. He never once mentioned any problem with the house. So, I guess you can't please everyone. Every now and then someone wants the world for less than $90 night. Jeanne Dail

Cottage é entre 3 e 4 Street, Eastpoint. Apenas duas casas. Um dos cantos 3 e Hwy 98, em seguida, o nosso. Nós possuímos todo o resto da terra para 4th Street. Além disso, possuímos toda a orla da 3rd Street para 4th Street, oferecendo uma vista totalmente desobstruída.
