We stayed at this home for the Month of February 2017. This home is comfortable, well decorated and clean. We enjoyed daily walks, and trips to the beach. We were within 10 minutes of Fresh Fields shopping center and a variety of restaurants. We had a few guests during the month, entertaining was easy with the dining room and living room very accessible from the kitchen and family room. We enjoyed sitting in the screened porch, my husband worked from home every morning, and found the screened in porch an environment conducive to accomplishing his goals.
We found the neighbors and folks we met walking to be very friendly. We cooked at home most of the month and found the kitchen to be well equipped, lots of dishes, pots and utensils. We had the opportunity to use the beautiful Lakehouse for exercise and yoga. We went to Charleston several times, just a 45 minute drive.
We found the owners to be responsive to our needs and they communicated clearly our responsibilities upon check in and departure. We had a wonderful month and plan to spend a lot more time on Seabrook Island. Perfect home!
We had a great time. However there are some maintenance issues with the house that are safety concerns. Outside between the house and garage you have a electrical connection with no cover. It is low enough that small children could make contact with. Not to mention adults. You also have a light fixture hanging from the entry way. Also there is a piece of floor molding between the kitchen and laundry room that is broken and creates a trip hazzard. I tripped over it and so did my grandson. I have pictures I would like to send you. Thanks for your time. Jk
My family and I stayed at this house over Thanksgiving and the house was perfect! Everything from the initial questions that I had to the reservations were handled promptly by the owners along with additional communication about check in and other things about the island. We will definitely be back and will recommend this home to our friends! Thank you for sharing your home with us!
My family and I have stayed at Seabrook for 15+ years and many different houses around the Island. When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned(the property manager informed us that it had not been cleaned in a month), along with a significant amount of bugs and spiders. The owner did have a pest service come spray the house, but that was mid-week. We experienced roaches falling from the ceiling onto the couch. There was mold around the window in the master bedroom. A spider was found inside the coffee pot. The grill was full of Palmetto Bugs aka Cockroaches. The customer service was terrible. The property manager was somewhat helpful, but the owner had no interest in our troubles or concerns. For the amount of money we paid for the week, it was very disappointing. I would not recommend this house to anyone. The deck, sliding door and grill were both unusable. The refrigerator was not turned on until the day of arrival, so all the food we bought spoiled before the temperature reached safe keeping. The owner had no sympathy and would not offer any accommodations.
I've had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home twice. My husband and I stayed with our best friends last year, and I just returned from a stay with life-long lady friends. This home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We most enjoyed the screened porch that is just a few yards from the golf course. Very relaxing and it has everything you need. The market and small shops are about 10 minutes away.
It's just a short 45 minute ride from Charleston and all there is to see there including the City Market and many great restaurants. We ate, took a fun carriage ride, ate, shopped, ate, and enjoyed catching up on a lifetime of memories! Wonderful stay.
My husband and I stayed in this home with my parents, and we had a wonderful stay. Aside from some spiderwebs in the high parts of the ceiling (unreachable without some sort of extension rod or ladder), the house was very clean and welcoming. Also we very much enjoyed the screened in porch for relaxing and reading, although we had to dust a thick(!) layer of pollen off the furniture due to the time of year we were there (late March--everything was in bloom). The location was wonderful in a nice wooded part of the island next to the golf course, and we could peek across the fairway to the small pond to say hello to the resident gator each morning. It was a very short drive to the restaurants at the marina or down to the end of the island to the beach club and golf course. We really enjoyed eating at Red's--nothing fancy but some great eats, we were big fans of their grilled shrimp salads--we ate there five or six times the week we visited! Also recommend swinging out to Fairfields Village just up the road on Kiawah where there are some nice shops--the creamery is delicious as well as King Street Grille (they have delicious pretzel buns on their burgers and great waffle fries). There was some rain and it was still a little chilly (60s-low 70s) most of the week we were there (last week of March) and the water was too cold for us to want to swim, but we still enjoyed golfing and exploring the area, and it was not far to visit Charleston as well. This was our first visit to Seabrook Island and we really enjoyed it!!!
