Great location, beautiful views--mixed thoughts

We arrived after a few light snowfalls, snow melted but parking lot in front of the condos was a muddy mess with warning cones in the deepest puddles. This is probably an HOA problem, but needs to be addressed. The condo was comfortable and quiet, carpeting a little soiled and wrinkled. Great fireplace, but after a long day driving it would have been nice to have a few sticks of wood for a welcoming fire --unfortunately none there. The views were wonderful and we could hear the stream nearby. Deer walked by the porch while we ate breakfast, and a tiny beautiful ermine (weasel type critter) inspected the deck one evening. Coffee maker unnecessarily complex and the heating plate on it didn't heat--the directions were useless and the resultant expensive coffee we had purchased was terrible.. VRBO owners need to keep things simple and this was a frustration. Finally rigged up a filtering system to make coffee. The heating system also was complicated--why not just a thermostat to turn off, on or adjust--as a result of not being able to set it, we ran the heater much more than we would have simply because we couldn't adjust the thing. Lovely dishes carried out the moose motif, and there were lots of pots and pans and glasses. Bathroom and shower was well designed, complete with washer and dryer. Location was convenient to Jackson, WIFI worked well.... but probably time for some paint and general maintenance. The Stiegler Austrian restaurant in the same complex was outstanding.

Resposta do proprietário: Carol, Thank you for your comprehensive review. You arrived on October 3rd, coming into an unexpected early season snowfall which caused some problem. What you did not know, and could not know, was that our HOA had been diligently clearing out some trees and brush in the parking area with a bulldozer just hours before your arrival, and the snowfall, in order to allow additional parking for guests. They had time to bulldoze the area, but no time to grade and gravel it when the snowfall came. So, they put up warning cones around their work area. I'm sorry the clearing effort and the snowfall came together at the same time, to cause a bit of mess in what is usually a very well maintained parking area. But I salute our HOA for their efforts and diligence! Such is life with the weather whims of the northern Rocky Mountains. Will take a look at the coffee maker to see what caused your problems. Thank you for letting us know, as you're the first to advise us of it. The entire condo was freshly painted last year, so if you could be more specific about where you thought it needed touch up, we'd be grateful. Thanks for staying with us, and for your constructive comments. We're glad you enjoyed the abundance of wildlife around the condo, and the amazing views.

Amazing View

We loved the location of our condo. When we first arrived in the addition there was a momma moose and baby grazing in the yard. We arrived at the condo, unloaded our things, opened the sliding doors and listened to the sound of the Snake River; and what an AWESOME view of the Tetons as well!!!!!

The condo was excellent, clean and everything had a list of how to use it so you would have ALL the comforts of home! Ginger had sent us a packet of information starting with directions and location of the condo which was really helpful. There was maps of Jackson and she wanted us to be able to truly get the full effect of the town and the surroundings.

Actually, the first time I have ever used a George Foreman Grill and it was electric and on the back porch. I cooked some amazing Filet Minon steaks one night and we sat and listened to the water running and then the dear came through going to whereever they were going to bed down for the night.

Sitting the next morning at the table having some cereal and there was a momma doe staring at me out the sliding doors. A big Bull Moose came through one morning but not a slow trot so we were unable to get his picture. Leave a camera on the table so you will be able to capture the wildlife as it comes through.

There was word that 2 bears had been seen in the Aspens Additon the week we were there but we didn't see any until we got to Yellowstone. Ginger sent us an email that they had been spotted so we could be cautious. The condo is really in the back part of the addition so its very quiet.

It's a great location as we went to Teton Village one day, taking the tram up to the top, for a breathtaking view. A gentleman took off of the top where we were, he was paragliding and that was truly a sight to see. Then we went to Jackson Hole for sightseeing. It's a great little town with a lot of shops to spend money, if you are so inclined. There are some great restaurants to eat at though.

Then the next day we traveled to Yellowstone National Park. You will travel thru Teton National Park going right into Yellowstone National Park. What a sight to see, Old Faithful spouting up, and when we got over to the east side, that's where we saw all the wildlife. I truly can't say enough about staying at 3314 Snowberry in the Aspens. We will never forget this experience!!! Thanks so much for having this listing on Homeaway. That's the only way to travel and vacation!!!!!

condo was as advertised

Fully stocked kitchen, views of mtns,end unit that provided privacy. Decorated as someone's home, rather than a sterile unit. Very comfortable for two adults. Up to date tv's. We made use of the washer & dryer. Convenient to hiking trails & highway to town. Very quiet surroundings. We would rent this condo again.

We enjoyed staying at this condo very much. The information provided was helpful. The condo was clean, comfortable, well stocked and convenient to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone and the Tetons. The view of the Tetons from our condo windows and back porch was beautiful.

After each day's adventure, we felt like we were "coming home". It was our first experience renting a condo instead of a motel or lodge and we loved having a kitchen for preparing some meals ourselves, saving money on eating out all the time. I also appreciated the washer + dryer so I could do laundry, therefore needing to pack less clothes! Overall it was a great condo and I would highly recommend it. We hope to return someday.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We will refund 100% of your deposit (less any merchant account fees and postage we have incurred) up to 30 days prior to arrival. If the need to cancel arises within 30 days of arrival, as soon as you let us know, we will repost the days as available for rent, and any portion of the time frame you have to cancel, which rents, will be refunded to you.
