A great neighborhood in the 5eme
The apartment is perfect for two persons. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean and up to date, though the bathroom is very narrow. The floors are a bit "sqweaky". The lighting is good, especially over the beds for reading at night. On the negative side, it was very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights when the nearby cafes stay open late and the young people carry on into the wee hours.
The apartment is minutes from rue Mouffetard and lively Place de la Contrescarpe and a short walk to Metro Cardinal Lemoine, the Pantheon, to blvd. St. Michel and Luxembourg Garden.
The owner, Robin, was very pleasant to deal with.
Cozy apartment with French experience
Stayed 3 nights with 2 teenagers. The 2 single beds and a sofa bed provided enough space and comfort. The sofa bed was a little hard though for my preference but it was alright for rest after long day touring Paris.
The location is very close to the train stations. Uber made it much easier to get around from there. We usually went to Latin quarter for dinner and walked about 12 mins from there to the home late in the evening (around 10 pm). We went to ‘Palace de Contrascarpe’ which is about 50 steps from there and it is quiet active until 2 AM on most nights.
Check-in was easy. I called Robin about the time that will be dropping in and he was waiting in the apartment for us. He explained various things about the apartment and asked me to call him if we needed anything.
We wanted to have the French experience and the place is close to several French shops with very less English knowledge (read as more authentic). We went Boulongerie for excellent pastries that are frequented by local people that left us with French experience.
Kitchen has enough dishes to cook meal and eat if that is your choice. Carrefour (groceries) is about 4 mins walk from there.
Laundry was excellent as we arrive there after 5 days of trips in hotels. Didn’t know how to dry clothes but clothes come out after strong spinning cycle and can be hanged inside with out water dripping.
Adorable apartment in the perfect location in the Latin Quarter. Hosts were
Hosts were very attentive. Great 10 day trip in a gorgeous city!
Great apartment right in the center of the 5th. The evenings were a bit noisy with all the students out and about, but that didn’t bother us much. So convenient to cafes, shops, groceries and just about everything. I would rent this place again!
Great little apartment
The apartment is as depicted in the photos, a little worn around the edges but great facilities and a great location. Be warned if you plan to go in the summer as we did that it is on a very noisy road, with mopeds and drunk/singing students passing by until 4AM on Friday/Saturday nights. We faced the difficult decision of whether to close the windows to keep out the noise to be able to sleep, or leave the window open for a bit of air in 90 degree F heat. A fan would have gone a long way. All in all we loved our stay, and did a mix of shopping/cooking at home and eating at the many, many restaurants in the area. I loved leaning out the window to take in the street life below and felt like a real Parisian for a few days.
