After scouring the Livingston/ Bozeman area for our wedding venue, my husband and I landed on the Yellowstone House and we are so glad that we did. Between the all around spectacular views, barn for catering and dancing, main house for lodging for guests, and the bride/groom cabin, it was the perfect location for our wedding. Guests from all over the world were in awe of its Montana charm and location. Tom and his wife were extremely easy to work with and accommodating of our needs. The Yellowstone House will always be a special place for our family.
The house and views were breathtaking. Three families with kids all stayed there and it was fantastic. We loved walking down to the river and fishing. We spent 2 days touring yellowstone. One day hiking to nearby waterfall which was spectacular!! It's a 2.5 mile trail to pine creek falls. Might be a bit of a hike for young children. We also rented a pavillion there for the day and did bbq picnic after our hike. Chico hot springs was really close and was a blast! I spent a lot of days reading on the deck enjoying the views and a lot of evening drinking wine on the deck with my family. Such an amazing experience.
The house also is stocked with spices and common things you need which was really nice.
I celebrated my 50 Birthday with friends and family at the Yellowstone House. What a wonderful setting - all was perfect. We rented the main house, the Cabin and the Barn for one week. We were all so taken by the beautiful views, the houses were very tastefully furnished and all was very clean and comfortable. The Party Barn was the hit and everybody was absolutely loving it. The late night party people could enjoy themselves without interrupting anybody’s sleep. It was an unforgettable event for all. Thank you for creating such a great spot and sharing it.
My friend chose this location to accommodate a 30+ group for her wedding. The family and friends that stayed at the house and those who visited were all amazed by the charming house(s) and perfect location. Views were spectacular from every angle. Deer in the front yard, fishing the Yellowstone River in the back.
Kitchen was fully stocked with spices and dishes. Perfect for the chef to feed the revolving door of hungry people. Rooms are all charming with the Montana flare. Clean and spacious. With a deck on every side of the house, no view was left unseen. Memorizing sunsets and magical star gazing. The sun sparkles from every angle. Stunning mountain ranges in all directions.
I could not have wanted more from a location for my best friends wedding! Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!!!
The Yellowstone House is the place where my husband and I chose to get married. It exceeded our expectations in every way! Both our families (who had not yet met each other) came to stay at the house in the days prior to the wedding. We knew it was a gamble throwing them altogether but the house became the perfect place for all of us to get to know each other in a relaxing and beautiful setting. The kitchen was a great place to make large family-style dinners which we enjoyed together at the long dining table. Each evening we all gathered on the west-facing wraparound deck to take in the sunset over beverages. My husband and I stayed in the Fisherman's Cabin which was charming and comfortable.
Everyone was able to take advantage of the multiple recreational opportunities near by. My father and husband spent a couple mornings fly fishing on the Yellowstone. Another group of us hiked all the way up to Pine Creek Lake (the most stunning hike in Paradise Valley!). One day we rented stand-up paddle boards and tubes and floated the Yellowstone from the Paradise Fishing Access to the fishing access right in front of the Yellowstone House - so convenient! Our dog had the best time chasing gophers and playing fetch in the river. The house is also a quick drive into Livingston where my mom and I had manicures at Honey Salon and we had our our rehearsal dinner at a local favorite, the 2nd Street Bistro.
The wedding itself went off without a hitch. The caterers were able to use the kitchenette in the Fisherman's Cabin to stage the dinner. The pavilion was the perfect place for the bar and hors d'oeuvres area. All our guests were just blown away at how amazingly perfect the property was.
The memories of our wedding will forever be golden and beautiful due to this gorgeous location. Thanks to Tom and Bridget for being so accommodating and for sharing their beautiful place! It really is Paradise here!
Terrific location for enjoying the spectacular scenery, great hiking, and generally soaking up Montana. The house is cozy and in a really wonderful location for visiting Yellowstone, local hiking trails, enjoying the Yellowstone river, and so much more. The neighbors are very nice too! Convenient to grocery shopping in Livingston if you want to cook, and also to the Yellowstone Valley Lodge Grill (thanks to the owners for the recommendation). In Livingston, Katabatic Brewing has a great Scotch Ale that is not to be missed, and Neptune's Brewery has the best fish and chips we've ever had.
