This is a nice 2 bedroom with great views and all the amenities (washer and dryer were very handy) it is very close to the theatre and the famous Ferryman's pub and a hop on/hop off bus stop. The landlord was very easy to work with and I would definetly book again! Thanks!
We needed a place to stay for a week to do some sightseeing and attend the Rock & Roll Dublin Half Marathon. This property caught my eye and it turned out to be just perfect. Not only was there a great view of the River Liffey, but the starting line to the race was right across the bridge.
The apartment is a quick 15-minute walk from City Centre, situated in a mixed-use neighborhood that bustles during the day but is quiet once the work-day is over. It is clean, well-maintained and contemporary; the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. There was plenty of space for two couples to live without feeling crowded and there's access to the balcony from both bedrooms and the living room. There are two grocery stores and several restaurants within a block and a half.
Marian, Pat and Lorna all made us feel welcome, accommodated our early arrival and responded quickly to questions. I would happily stay here again.
We were pleased with the location of the flat. The Bus 757 to the airport was one block away. It would have been nice if the renting party had informed us of this, as we rented a taxi to get to the flat, when the Bus would have been a brilliant choice, had we known.
There were some deficiencies.
---The toilets could have had rubbish cans. The kitchen needed measuring utensils and a collender. There was no oven compatible pans.
---We have grown accustomed to an orientation notebook that highlights local( short walking distance) recommendations.
--- Printed instructions for the oven and the washer/dryer would have been helpful. I went online and found them.
--- Written instructions for adjusting the heat would have been helpful.
---There were several burned out light bulbs in the working area of the kitchen. We rent flats in order to make use of the kitchen. Lighting is useful.
I would rent here again if I returned to Dublin, with the expectation that the minor deficiencies noted above would have been addressed.
We stayed here with another couple at the beginning of July. We loved the location of the apartment as it was within walking distance of grocery stores, a great pub, and several tourist attractions. The view from the deck was also wonderful and the weather was nice enough that we were able to spend a few hours sitting out there watching the crew boats practicing on the river. The view is very special at night when it becomes dark and the buildings across the river light up - so pretty.
The apartment was just the right size for us with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a nice sitting area. There was a problem with the toilet in the main bathroom leaking onto the floor. We did not notice it until late at night however, so we determined that it wasn't a 'gushing' kind of leak so put some towels on the floor and sent an email (rather than a call) to Marian. The next morning she promptly emailed and sent someone over to look at it. They were not able to fix it during our stay because it would require removal of the toilet - but that was fine because we were still able to use it.
The only negatives I can list is that the apartment did not seem as well maintained and clean as the bed and breakfasts that we stayed in during our visit to Ireland. The second negative is that there is no booklet with instructions or 'nice to know about' information available. We looked for operating instructions for the washer/dryer but could not find them, finally looked up the instructions on the internet so we could operate it properly. Overall, we really appreciated our stay in Dublin at this apartment.
The apartment is 15 minutes walk from the city centre and with amazing views of the Liffey. The apartment was clean and very comfortable and the owners were welcoming and had put tea and coffee in to start us off. A good place to return to in the future.
