My wife and I , with a friend , plus daughters and their husbands with three grand children enjoyed a marvellous holiday at this idyllic villa at the end of July 2009 The pool was the centre of our enjoyment , rarely leaving the villa all week. Every evening we dined outside , as all facilities were so close, when the grand children were safely tucked up in bed . The security of the property was first class. Margaret the local `host` was a gem , nothing was too much trouble . One experience from previous rentals , there were no additional charges !!, and our deposit was refunded at the time of departure. How I wish all villa owners were like this. We talked to them on the phone prior to leaving the UK .and they could not have been more helpful. Our best villa so far !! Rob Boston Lincs
Drive through the tall, wrought-iron gateway and you can’t fail to be immediately impressed by this traditionally stylish stone-built villa surrounded by manicured lawns peppered with palms and tropical shrubs.
It is delightful. A glorious setting. Equally suitable for family getaways and relaxation seekers as it is for those feeling slightly jaded and longing for a rejuvenating retreat.
Comforts and modern amenities abound at this superb private villa situated among a series of historic hamlets on the wooded slopes of the Alpes-Maritimes. Southward views over the carpet of citrus and pine trees are spectacular
Roquefort stands serenely in a quite residential area just a pleasant stroll from village shops and restaurants, 20 minutes from Nice Airport, less than an hour from the famous Riviera resorts of Cannes and Monaco and a short drive to the fashionable sandy beaches of Antibes and Theoule Sur Mer.
And for energetic golfers there are the nearby testing, 18-hole courses of Opio Valbonne, the Grand Bastide in Opio, Royal Mougins and Villeneuve Loubet.
The villa is actually two spacious homes in one. The fully alarmed ground and upper floors have separate entrances on opposite sides of the building with each boasting a fully equipped kitchen and a sumptuously furnished lounge which encourage total relaxation.
The pretty bedrooms have plenty of individual personality and are enhanced with tasteful décor, furnishings and fabrics. Some have air-conditioning and en-suite facilities.
Upstairs there is a lovely wraparound walkway leading to a charming little terrace where you can enjoy a lounging, restful breakfast or catch the last of the afternoon sun as it sinks below the treetops while sipping a social gin and tonic and chatting over the day’s happenings.
Beneath is a large poolside terrace, lawned surround and a really splendid enclosed barbecue area with huge family dining table which compliments the welcoming seclusion of a stunning holiday haven.
What more could you ask for?

The villa is just plain wonderful or Magnifique as you would say in this beautiful spot on the the Cote d’Azur.
We were two families with children aged 8 to 14 and had lots to do all the time. In fact one week is just too short. We found the villa well equipped for all kinds of activities. We cooked meals inside and outside, took walks in the adjacent valley and visited some of the many interesting places in the surrounding area. We especially enjoyed walks and late dinners in the small town of Valbonne, lunch on the beach in Cap Ferrat, the beauty of the village of Eze just to mention some of the pleasant memories of our stay in the villa in Roquefort les Pins.
It was such a treat to wake up in the morning, take a run or a walk, followed by a crisp swim (the pool in April was a bit cold still, with the pool heater at times blowing a fuse) and breakfast by the pool to start another great day in the south of France.
We hope to be back soon!
