THE HOME. We took great care to preserve the history of our home while making it very comfortable and functional. The living room has breathtaking views of our beautiful oaks, camelias and the marsh. It features comfortable seating, TV with DVD and Netflix. The fireplace and the exposed beams on the ceiling add character. The kitchen is renovated & well equipped for food prep. The kitchen features a gas range, dishwasher and beautiful butcherblock countertops. There is space in the pantry and fridge for you to store your items. There is also a mini-fridge in the mudroom as well that guests can use for drinks and overflow items (conveniently located next to the kitchen). The dining room features a large bar with stools that can easily seat 6. Downstairs you will enjoy a comfortable private bedroom with a new queen bed next door to a full bathroom featuring clawfoot tub original to the house.
Upstairs features 3 unique and beautiful bedrooms and a central full bathroom. The master bedroom is quite large with queen bed and window views of the giant live oak tree and marsh. The middle bedroom features a full bed and antique furniture. The rear bedroom has a twin bed. The bathroom is large with a clawfoot tub and pedestal sink, centrally located for all 3 upstairs bedrooms to share.
OUTDOOR SPACES. The front porch is fully screened and has L-shaped seating on one side and a dining table and chairs on the other side. This is a wonderful place to share a meal or drink your morning coffee. The back of the house features a large deck where you can experience the serenity of Botany Bay (our direct neighbor). This deck could be used to soak up the sun, view the night sky, or gather with friends and family. There are swings here for the kids as well. There is a great outdoor shower with hot and cold water, which is the perfect place to shower after a swim or a trip to the beach. Our dock is located down a short nature path-- the dock features seating and a floating dock and is amazing for swimming, kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, fishing, crabbing, throwing a cast net, and more.
