A great little apartment in a brilliant location.

We enjoyed staying here. It is a compact, clean and light apartment well located for some of the best eating places and bars and the famous flea market. The nearest metro is La Latina which is handy when you feel your legs need a rest. A great cheese shop nearby and a useful small supermarket.

We would definitely use it again. Thanks, Ana.

Jill and I loved the beautiful and centrally located apartment

It was a very pleasant experience dealing with Ana setting up the vacation rental.

Since Ana was out of the country when we arrived, Christine was there to greet us. We were welcomed warmly.

The apartment was just like we had imagined with the photographs. Everything was there that we had needed.

The location was splendid. The doors leading out to patios were wonderful, with striking views each way. There were places to buy groceries, with a small store that we could buy fruit just below us, the grocery store a few steps down the street, and the Mercado just up the street. We love the Mercato where we found our special vendors for fruit, eggs, and wonderful olives. Across the street was a health food store, which had reasonable prices.

The subway station was only a minute away. The centre of Madrid was within 15 minutes of walking. The Prado Museum which we loved, was only 25 minutes away.

On Sundays there is the Rasto (upgraded flea market) Market which is only two minutes away. It was very interesting and entertaining. Back in Canada we were looking for a special suitcase for special toys and treats for our grandchildren. We only found a few in Canada over the past year. At the market it was a choice of some hundreds.

We left the doors open some nights to hear the cheerful voices of passers by.

Midway in our stay, Ana had Christina come and do a cleaning. Christina was very friendly and did a terrific job in making sure everything was just so.

I highly recommend this as a great vacation place to stay. I would be quite happy to answer any questions that people have.

Thank you Ana for the space for us to have a truly memorable vacation.

Resposta do proprietário: Hello You rent the house from 23th july (check in after 16:00) to 30th july(check out befor 12:00)You writed me and you said to me: "I will arrive at 9 am". Then I explain to you, I want to try to rent the saturday night, because the apartemet is avilabel from 20th July to 23th July but, if you need to arrived at 9 am we have thre options to early check in. And ask what do you prefert? Related to the check in/check out Three options Option A If you want to make a check earlier, it´s possible. Then we don't rent the night 7th of June, this option has extra cost (one night more). I will booking for you this night. Option B If finally the apartment is available then you make a check in early, this option has a small extra cost. But It is not sure. Because I will not booking the night before for you. Option C Usually the check in is after 16:00 and the check out is before 12:00. We need to clean the apartment prior your arrival, then at 16:00, one person will be receiving to you, she speak English and helps you with the wifi and explain you everything. If you arrive before, is only possible to leave your luggage in the apartment and wait outside till the check in time. If the cleaning is finished earlier I will send you a message. Anyway we always try to be flexibles according to our possibilities in order to do these days with us the most agreeable for you. this option don't has a extra cost What do you want to do you prefer option A B or C? Your anser again Opcion A and I will not pay more. Sorry but it is not possible. Finally you take opción B and you write these rewie. The house had a rules and this rules is for me and for the guest. Ana is responsive, professional and kind. The apartment is bright, clean & in a great location.

Ana quickly responded to all e-mails, and patiently clarified something that I misunderstood about the rental process. The location is great and the apartment was just what I expected. Seeing pictures of the apartment in advance was very helpful.

The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and utensils. The bed was comfortable. The closet is fairly spacious. The living room is cozy. There was plenty of hot water for the shower. And the WiFi signal was strong. The neighborhood has many conveniences and attractions in walking distance. Perhaps this is a cultural difference: I would have liked to have a set of wash cloths in addition to the set of medium and large towels.

The La Latina Metro stop closed for renovation right before I arrived. However, I used the Tirso de Molina Metro station, which is a short walk away.

I'm a woman who stayed there with my young daughter and felt very safe walking around the neighborhood in the evening. Also, we're African-American and neither Ana nor Cristina blinked twice upon seeing us--an unfortunately legitimate concern.

My Spanish is rusty, but Ana and I communicated well. I recommend this apartment! Gracias a Ana por todo.

Great location, comfortable apartment

If you are looking for Spanish charm, this is it! You can look out your balcony to see a lively and interesting (although not always quiet) neighborhood full of restaurants, bars, and small shops. We walked to the Prado, the Royal Palace, and the Reina Sofia museum. If you don't want to walk 15-30 minutes, you can take the Metro, which stops only a block away. Or grab a taxi--there are many in the area. We had a small issue with the air conditioning, which the owner speedily handled. We appreciated the washing machine and the little kitchen. The bed is a comfortable double bed, and there's a futon in the living room. The bathroom, though small, is updated. There are two flights of stairs to reach the apartment (it's on the 3rd floor.) We really felt a part of Spanish life here.

Great Apartment, Great location, and beyond friendly host!! Loved it!!

I will start by saying that we stayed with a group of 2 couples in this spacious and centrally located apartment. After reserving the apartment approximately one month prior to our trip, everything was smooth and we received confirmation of booking. Approximately 5 days prior to our booking, Ana emailed me with all the details to the apartment. She was very courteous and explained everything and asked for a 20 minute heads up prior to us coming to the apartment.

As we made our way from Barcelona to Madrid, I messaged Ana when we were 15 minutes away and she replied immediately and we coordinated on a time to meet at the apartment. I really appreciated her responsiveness as it helped us greatly in coordinating meeting time and making sure the apartment was ready.

On to the apartment itself - The apartment is centrally located near the La Latina neighborhood and is within walking distance to most things in Madrid. For those attractions that you may wish to visit that are not walkable (i.e. Toledo) there is a taxi stand within 3 minute walk and there were always taxis available there. The apartment itself is nicely decorated, spacious, and comfortable for a group of 4. We were there during a heat wave with constant temperature of over 100 F everyday but the apartment was nice and cool and sleeping was nice and comfortable.

On our last day, Christina came to check us out of the room and she was very friendly and offered to help us in any way we needed as we were getting ready to depart to the airport. We want to thank Ana and Christina for an amazing Madrid stay for our group.
