The perfect villa for our holiday in Duquesa

It's difficult to fault this villa! It's clean and well-equipped for a relaxing holiday in Duquesa. A small stroll to a couple of bars and mini market, then a further 10 mins walk to the lovely port of Duquesa. We didn't need a car and used 'Happy Transfers' for airport transfers.

The villa was spacious for our family of 5, and within easy reach of the pool, making it feel like a private pool. We only shared the pool a couple of times, but even when we did there is plenty of room around and in the pool for it not to be crowded.

We would recommend taking anti-mosquito plugs/spray etc.

The owners were very accommodating and provided baby equipment without any hassle.

Highly recommended and great value.

Beautiful family villa 5*

Just got back from a lovely week at this beautiful villa.

Very impressed with everything this villa had to offer. Brilliant location just a 10 min stroll to local beach and marina that has some wonderful restaurants on offer.

Very clean throughout, spacious 3 bedrooms, Kitchen is fully equipped, comfortable seating area inside and out. Gas bbq which was easy to use and very clean.

Did read in another review about noise from 8-4 but didn't experience this at all. It was actually very quiet and peaceful. Also washing machine worked perfectly well.

Access to the Inflatables and toys stored in cupboard insurerd Kids had great fun in the pool which was located right next to the villa.

We flew into Malaga airport which was about an hour drive away but also visited gibralter which was a 20 min drive.

Will definitely be returning next year.

Quality Villa/House

Just got back from a lovely week at this holiday Villa/House I chose this place after reading reviews and the place looked amazing . Well to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was , it is situated up a hill but a very easy walk down the hill to the Port / Beach . The Port has got everything that's required and very local . Getting back to the House , this was better equipped than my own house , Jamie Oliver wouldn't even need anything in this kitchen it had everything you could wish for. The property was so clean and was furnished to a very high spec , brand new washing machine. The patio area & garden was very peaceful and lovely to relax even lay down in ( sun all day ) BBQ was like new and a great size , swimming pool cleaned daily and only 6 steps from Emily & Jays garden . The owners were very helpful with any questions we asked ( very nice to deal with honest people ) will be going back next year and would highly recommend to my family and friends

We enjoyed the time...

What nobody noise left and right from 8 am to 4 pm. You should have a car for the beach, because its hot and the way, as the picture shows, is uphill a mile to the house. The air condition and the washing machine were not working. The fan and the BBQ were disgusting.

Our kids enjoyed the pool and we had time to relax. Gibraltar is a must.

Nevertheless we had a good time. Thank you Emily and Jay!

Great villa in a great location

After a long extensive search on line and the quest to find somewhere which would equally please my wife and kids I come across Jay and Emily's town house in Duquesa. I had never stayed in Duquesa port before so was a little apprehensive in the booking, but again having a wife and two children the 25 min transfer from Gibraltar sold me. Like most men I am not easily impressed and normally try and find some fault in everything but I was very impressed with the villa. The modern kitchen which opened up to a large open plan interior downstairs flows directly onto an outside terrace which has an outdoor sofa area with a gas BBQ with two other terraces one for the outside dinning table and one more for the sun loungers and surrounded by a garden area with wild flowers, the upstairs with 3 good size bedrooms and terrace off main bedroom.

Attached to the villa was the swimming pool which is also surrounded by the same manicured gardens, which was a perfect spot for me to sit, lay, relax all day drink a cerveza or two and watch the kids jump in and out off the pool all day with the most amazing views across the golf course and out to sea.

A two min walk down the hill are a couple of restaurants/ bars which is great in the morning to answer emails and grab a coffee but should you want more just follow the hill further down and you are in Duquesa Port which has been modelled on Puerto Banus has an extensive range of bars and restaurants from traditional Spanish, Chinese, Thai etc etc

Duquesa sits in the middle of two other surrounding ports, Estapona and Soto Grande which are really worth the trip to see and have lunch especially Estapona market on Sundays

lovely house in a quiet location

just spent a week at this lovely house in a quiet location, a nice place to chill and relax. house was very clean, well equipped kitchen, lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, pool is right next to the house.

within an easy downhill walk to golf course, harbour and the sea. harbour has lovely restaurants and bars, easy access to local markets and supermarkets.

we flew into Gibralter, hire car is a must, 20 min drive from the airport, there is parking space available.

all in all a comfortable cosy house which would suit couples and families at any time of year, we will come back.

the owner was very accommodating, efficient and happy to answer any questions.
