Beautiful place to stay

amazing place to stay clean, perfect area A two minute walk to the street car up on it to the French quarter. Why I will give it a 5 star. The owner's iron the bed sheets

Great Location in NOLA

The cottage is sizeable, comfortable, clean and definitely private. We would definitely stay there with our two teen children on the pull-out queen if we return to NOLA. The location is great! We used the streetcar daily, but also walked to other neighborhoods from the cottage. There are restaurants, cafes, and a full grocery all with in 2-4 blocks. Matt is an accommodating and available host should you have questions or needs.

We keep coming back to this great cottage

This is the third time we have stayed here. Obviously we love it. It is in a neighborhood away from the tourist areas but near to restaurants, shops etc. The bed is great, the living area very comfortable. The kitchen is complete and the bathroom very nice. Nearby Panola Cafe is great for breakfast or lunch. Brightsen’s is a fabulous place for dinner. Audubon Park is very close and the streetcar is less than 150’ away. We will be back for a fourth stay soon.

Small but nice

This cottage is well located with parking. The cottage is limited to 2 guests. The cottage is nice. However, the kitchen is very small and makes it hard to cook.

The Cottage is a private residence located in the historic, quiet uptown neighborhood of Carrollton. It is a comfy stand-alone one bedroom, one bath with a full kitchen and living room that also has a private fenced in brick patio for your enjoyment. The living room has a sofa which converts into a queen size bed.
For easy access around the city the St. Charles Ave. streetcar line stops within a 2 minute walk from the cottage and is only $1.25 per ride or $3.00 per day with a Jazzy Pass. Restaurants, shopping and nightlife are also conveniently located within walking distance but far enough away to keep the noise down during your stay. Guests have access to a private fenced in brick patio. The cozy outdoor space has a wrought iron table with 4 chairs for enjoying gorgeous southern nights with good friends. It’s a great hangout spot for outdoor dining while sipping cocktails, drinking wine or just relaxing after a busy day exploring the city.
* Jazz Fest, Bayou Boogaloo, Boo at the Zoo, Vodoo Music Fest, French Quarter Fest, Freret Street Festival, Tennessee Williams/ New Orleans Literary Festival, Running of the Bulls, Red Dress Run – all NOLA festivals are located less than 20 minutes away!
*Celebrate the start of carnival season Phunny Phorty Phellows Twelfth Night Parade, Poboy Fest, Mid-Summer Mardi Gras – all are WALKING distance from the cottage!
* Some of the best Mardi Gras parades can be enjoyed just a couple miles away
* Magazine Street filled with dining establishments and shops of all sorts is only a short car/cab ride away.
* Beautiful Audubon Park and Zoo are both right off the streetcar line or a quick car/cab ride away.
* City Park with its majestic oak trees, open air concerts and many art exhibits is within minutes by car/cab.
* Easy access to I-10 within 5 minutes from our location.
