At the hale...LIVE OUTSIDE! At night the outdoor lanai area around the pool /spa is wonderful spot to kick back and relax, have a drink and/or dinner, and/or watch the kids play in the pool.

The house has 5 master suites with 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. All the rooms have AC.
Master bedroom 1 - a king bed + a sofa bed with a private bathroom
Master bedroom 2 - a queen bed with a private bathroom
Master bedroom 3 - a king bed with a private bathroom
Master bedroom 4 - a king bed with a private bathroom
Guest bedroom 1 - two twin beds
Guest bedroom 2 - a queen bed
Kids room - 2 sets of twin beds (full at the bottom and twin at the top) with a private bathroom.

The home is conveniently located close to many amenities which include a plethora of dining options (including the famous Sam Choy), a movie theater and shopping center, all within a five minute drive. Numerous resort amenities are available just to the South. The Keauhou Bay area offers great ocean access, scuba diving, and sailing, catamaran, fishing charters, sea kayaking and outrigger canoeing.

Just a few miles down the shoreline you will find Kahalu’u Beach State Park, famous for its encounters with the graceful green Hawaiian Sea Turtles.

Magic Sands Beach and Kahalu'u Beach Park are BOTH within 1 miles...These two beaches are our absolute favorites on Ali'i Drive and the most popular. This is the best location to the beaches and to enjoy access to the best shopping and restaurants on Kona to Downtown Kailua. Keauahou with the famed manta ray night dives is also about 5 minutes. Right in the middle of everything.

If you are seeking local markets and historical context, downtown Kailua-Kona is approximately a 10 minute drive for easy access to shopping, businesses, waterfront restaurants and hotels. Watch the people and the cruise ships come and go from the Kailua Pier. Visit the famous Farmer's Market. Enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee, have a light snack or a gourmet meal, buy an inexpensive souvenir or a piece of fine art, book an activity, go for a swim or hang out on the many beautiful beaches.

Up the coast is a busy marina with Hawaii's best scuba diving, big-game fishing, kayaking, dolphin and whale watching and other ocean activities. Ali'i Makai is conveniently located, a great home base to explore the many wonders of the Big Island including Volcano National Park, Mauna Kea Observatory, coffee and macadamia nut farms, artist communities, and more!

This house is close to a highway, but there is a 20 ft high stone embankment that blocks all the sounds from the road. You can read the many positive reviews about this house to see our prior guests praising the quiet and relaxing environment.


If you have 6 people or less, you will only rent the three bedrooms at the main house.
If you have 8 or less, you will rent the main house plus the master suite Ohana 1 by the pool
if you have 10 people or less, you will rent the 5 bedrooms (main house, the master suite Ohana 1 by the pool and master suite Ohana 2 at the back of the house)
If you have more than 10 people, you will rent the whole house with 7 bedrooms and 6 bathroom

Cancellation policy: You can cancel your reservation 90 days prior your arrival date with $500 cancellation fee, and get the rest of money back.

Check-In: 4:00 PM. Early check-in may be permitted if the house is ready, and must be pre-arranged with us. The additional fees for early check-in are $50 for 2:00 pm check-in, $100 for 12:00 am check-in, and $200 for 10 am check-in.


Check-Out: 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be permitted if there is no new tenant arriving the same day. Late check-out must be pre-arranged with the manager. The additional fees for late check-out are $50 for 12:00 pm check-out, $100 for 2pm check-out, $150 for 4pm check-out, and $200 for 6pm check-out.

beautiful home that slept 16 comfortably
The home is conveniently located. We had issues opening the garage, contacted the owner, and it was resolved. The dryer does not work very well. There was behind the home that worked much better. The hot tub was not working correctly, so we contacted the pool guy and he was there promptly, but couldn't fix it properly because he was waiting for a part. The swimming pool was freezing cold! The adults did not get in, but it didn't stop the kids. The kitchen was missing some items, such as hot pads, and dish cloths, they leave a sponge, but I don't care for sponges, because of sanitary purposes. The refrigerator shelves were cracked when we arrived, but we just pulled them out so they wouldn't break further. Despite those issues, we would stay here again. I find all those issues minor. To me it's important to have comfortable beds and they were all very comfortable. The host was very prompt getting back to me, so that was appreciated. It conveniently located, and everyone of our group of 16 enjoyed the home.

Aloha and Welcome to KonaHome Vacation Rentals. This is Emmy. I am the owner and manager of these lovely vacation rentals in Kailua-Kona. I lived in Silicon Valley California for over 25 years and worked as the software engineer and entrepreneur. I was the founder and built several successful start up companies and pursued my entrepreneur dreams there. I loved living in the California Bay Area and still consider it my "Home on the Mainland".

Emmy's lifelong dream has always been to live by the ocean in the tropical island. When we first truly memorable experience in Hawaii was the family vacation on the cruise ship that visited each of the Hawaiian islands. We fall in love with Kailua-Kona, Big Island the best. There is so much to do here, with crystal clear water for snorkeling, rainforests, waterfalls, and volcanoes to explore, and mountains that almost reach the stars.

We bought our first dream house in 2013, and three years later, just after our daughter graduated from high school in California in 2016. Then we moved to Kona. Besides high tech, one of Emmy’s lifelong interests has been real estate. Every destination Emmy visit, she love exploring the properties in the area. Combining our love for Hawaii and homes, now we own and manage 8 beautiful vacation rental houses.

Emmy has put much effort into every house to make them as comfortable and welcoming as your home. We use the latest technologies on the rental houses, with smart lock, amazon Alexa, comprehension customized online welcome book for each guest and much more.

We are responsible and responsive to your inquiries. We live close to all of our rental houses, we are always available for our guests. We do our best to provide the best services to our guests.
