An awesome place for a few days in Edinburgh. Clean and comfy - plus the location couldn’t be better! Close to the royal mile and everything but also on a quieter street. Highly recommend !
Fijn appartementen op een ideale locatie
Erg fijn appartement. Locatie is perfect voor een stedentrip. In de winter wel moeilijk warm te krijgen.
Koud maar echt een toplocatie
De locatie van deze woning is echt geweldig. Nog een vijf minuten van de Royal Mile en prima bereikbaar vanaf het vliegveld en treinstation. Tijdens ons verblijf was het buiten rond het vriespunt, helaas kunnen de kachels, zeker die in het woongedeelte niet, voldoende warmte leveren waardoor het net niet lekker warm werd.
Apartment was not a good choice
The plan was for me to meet up with the Property Manager at the building upon my arrival at Drummond Street. She later texted me she had a bad toothache and could not meet me. She sent the detailed access instructions. When I arrived at the apartment, I was met with a wall of cold air. I turned on the wall heaters on each floor. They were heating up so I then left to run some errands. When I got back an hour later, the apartment was still very cold, maybe mid 50's F. The heaters were hot but did not seem to disperse any heat into the rooms. I texted the PM about this and she responded she would "pop in" at some point the next day. This did not give me a good feeling; I was concerned since I am subject to respiratory tract infections. I spent a cold night wrapped in blankets, fleeces, gloves, socks, hat etc. The upstairs bedroom got a little warmer, but downstairs remained very cold. I heard nothing from the PM the next morning so at 10:00 I went to the Ibis Hotel and booked three nights with them. I texted the PM I was leaving. She was clearly not happy to hear this, wanting me to wait for her to stop by, but not giving me a specific arrival time. I really did not want to waste a part of my few days in Edinburgh waiting in a cold apartment for her to show up.
It would have been nice if the property had been made ready for a renter's arrival. A warm welcome it was not. Having the heating system efficiently working would have been most helpful and appreciated. I was not expecting a hot apartment, just one that was comfortably warm and cozy. Also, having a backup PM for situations such as a toothache would have been helpful, so questions and concerns at the property site could still have been easily addressed.
I liked the apartment itself and know I would have enjoyed my four days there. Besides the heat issue, the only negative thing I noticed was the refrigerator's freezer which was totally packed up with ice. Needed a good defrosting.
A friend and I are coming back to Edinburgh in April and I had booked a week-long stay at the apartment. But now we will be making alternative arrangements.
This property is in a great location, close to shops, pubs and eateries. Royal mile is just a short walk away. The apartment itself had everything we needed to have an enjoyable break. It was cold in Edinburgh but the apartment was toasty warm. Very near to the theatre too.
Wonderful flat in the heart of Edinburgh
My husband and I found this flat the perfect place as our home base for 5 sight seeing days in Edinburgh. The flat was modern, clean, and had a lot of basic amenities to make our stay comfortable. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. The only slight complaint would be night noise from the other flats but a simple pair of ear plugs would solve that. We would book this flat again in a heartbeat.

As ligações de transporte são excelentes, com o apartamento perto de vários principais rotas de ônibus que acessam a maioria das áreas da cidade e além. A Estação Ferroviária de Waverley, que liga você ao resto da Escócia é uma curta caminhada. Treinar os tempos de viagem para Glasgow, anfitrião dos Jogos da Commonwealth de 2014 são de aproximadamente 55 minutos e partem a cada meia hora. O bypass e de auto-estradas redes de cidades pode ser acessado facilmente de carro.
