Espaçoso, apartamento cheio de luz em forma de mansarda e piso de madeira natural

Renovado em 2013, o apartamento fica no segundo andar e último de um belo edifício do século XVIII. Ele irá seduzi-lo com sua excepcional localização, no porto de Saint Martin e seus deslumbrantes vistas panorâmicas.

Através das quatro janelas grandes, os mastros dos veleiros passam metros de distância, bem diante dos seus olhos, enquanto o sol inunda o apartamento do início da tarde ao pôr do sol.

Os quartos eo banheiro são bem decorados e funcional. Na sala de estar, tectos altos e uma bela lareira vai lhe dar uma chance de se sentar na frente de um fogo acolhedor depois de um longo passeio à tarde em uma das praias virgens da ilha.

What a beautiful stay

This was by far the cosiest place we've stayed in during our trip to France, and to our surprise the place was even nicer than on the photos. It was extremely tidy and well designed, with very nice furniture. How delightful it was to wake up on the mezzanine, and gaze from your bed as sails pass quietly by under the windowsill, going in and out of the harbour. It almost felt like Venice, since the sunbathed living-room faces the sea directly. The views from all the rooms were breathtaking, and windy days became a good excuse to stay cosily tucked in by the warm fire with a cup of tea and the soft sound of swaying ship masts, as the tides came and went underneath. The stone walls are thick and well isolated from sound and outside temperatures, and if we ever got tired of the peace and quiet we could just walk 30 seconds and be directly on the docks, where there's a multitude of small shops, cafés, bakeries, restaurants/bars and of course the famous and delicious ice cream and waffle maker "La martiniere". As an architect, I could not have dreamt of a better place to stay, thanks for the wonderful experience !

Appartement superbe et parfaitement situé !

Nous avons passé un séjour de rêve dans ce très bel appartement. Se réchauffer devant un bon feu de cheminée après une longue promenade sur la côte sauvage tout en regardant les bateaux sortir du petit port de Saint Martin, que demander de mieux ! Peut être les délicieuses huitres du port de la Flotte ou les glaces et gauffres de la Martinière ?

Merci à notre hôte très accueillante pour ses bons conseils. On recommande !

Spectacular position for enjoying the harbour of St Martin

This is a beautiful apartment set in the most spectacular position on the harbour, excellent in every way.

The owner was most helpful and flexible responding quickly to contact and most pleasant to deal with.

The detail of facilities within the apartment are of high quality and not lacking in any way. Plenty of kitchen equipment to enable food preparation and eating. With dishwasher, fridge and cooker with hot plate, however with so many fantastic restaurants so close at hand it is hard to justify cooking at all!

The bedrooms are most comfortable with good quality linen, the mezzanine room is low but at 6ft 2 we managed to come home without any head injury sustained. The bathroom is a good size with nicely spacious shower.

Ile de Ré is a beautiful island and deserves being fully explored, especially by bicycle along the safe and well posted cycle paths. The beaches are delightful with plenty of space for sunbathing and water sports.

This is our third visit to this special island and we will be back, and most definitely would book this apartment again.

Really wanted to love it ...

The pictures accurately depict the property: it was clean & the cupboards are well stocked with all the day to day essentials - cutlery & dishwares, cooking supplies, cleaning supplies, iron, hair dryer, etc. The harbour is really lovely & the flat felt very secure, & was indeed filled with loads of natural light.

A few things that were of frustration to us ... the owner stated we would be informed of arrival information a few weeks in advance of our stay. I didn't receive this. I emailed her asking about bike rentals info & received no response. The day BEFORE our arrival I emailed & asked for arrival information - we received no response. We were left to to drive during peak time, 2 kids in tow, not knowing where we were staying or if someone would be there to let us in. I kept having to turn on my international data to check for a response which was never there. Finally we were able to get ahold of her via telephone after attempts to text failed, & she was pleasant enough but we really felt this was a lot of undue stress, & cost us undue expense.

Upon arriving we spent ages circling attempting to get to the inner harbour. Having no knowledge of the location we didn't know this was an impossible feat -- you need an access code to drive near the inner harbour. We parked as close as we could & carried everything (not pleasant with two small kids, and a months worth of stuff...) & stood awkwardly outside an UNADDRESSED apartment wondering if we had found the right place. We are shuffled into the apartment by a pleasant enough man (we were expecting a lady...) & given one key. We quickly realize we had no idea where we were to park for the week, how to dispose of garbage nor are we able to access wifi.

I'd specifically asked about parking & was told it was 5min away. There is a lot 5min away, it is 32 Euro A DAY. That adds a significant expense to the rental & after inquiring again we were told more accurately where it was which was more like 15min away & there is no access to the unit for dropping of luggage/groceries/children/etc. This was a major inconvenience to us & I wish it had been more clearly communicated.

Wifi - didn't work for half the week, when it did wasn't strong enough to even stream Netflix & would drop.

These inconveniences sound minor but on a vacation, esp with kids, you just don't want to be worried about them! I'd suggest 2 keys, better parking info & consistent wifi. It was a disappointing first VRBO experience

For the free parking it was on the site of the beach of Saint Martin " la Cible" 5 minutes from the flat. This is were all the people are parking for the week. I should have been clearer. I was in touch with you concerning the Wifi breakdown and Ana and myself did our best to solve the problem. Again I apologize for this inconvenience. Finally, Ana should have come herself to welcome you instead of her husband and showed you the place to throw the garbage. The Perfect Get Away

We had a perfect stay on the Ile de Re. This charming apartment is set on the top floor, with magnificent views over the picturesque Port of St Martin. We sat at the large windows in full western sunlight, watching the boats enter the port below us; it was as if we were sitting on a terrace, or in the crow’s nest of a ship! The apartment is lovely. Tastefully decorated and in perfect condition. We really appreciated the comfortable, high quality bedding and modern amenities. Our hostess was considerate and helped make our hassle free.

All in all, a perfect get away. From every window you see the ocean or port - you couldn’t ask for a more delightful vantage point. During the day we took in the wonderful nautical atmosphere of the port. At night we slept by the quiet rhythms of the sea.

We would go back to this little corner of paradise in a heartbeat!
