Location Plus! Centrally located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, on a dead-end street, just 430 yards to the Third Street Beach access! Near Food Lion, Goombays, Jolly Roger, Belks, movies, and amusements.

This bright and airy 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is the perfect place to make your OBX memories! Outer House has an open floor plan with cathedral ceiling, skylights, and loft area with double futon. Perfect for small families or 3 to 4 couples. No party groups or high school/college week groups please. No smoking, no pets. Main living area has fully equipped kitchen with breakfast counter and coffee station (with Keurig and Mr. Coffee......y'all gonna want coffee!), dining for 8, living room, queen bedroom and full bath. Front deck has Adirondack chairs and a picnic table for you to enjoy dining alfresco, that first morning cup of coffee or that evening glass of wine. Upper level has queen bedroom with access to upper deck, twin bedroom, loft with full size futon, and full bath. The ground floor utility room has a washer and dryer. There is a clothesline for your wet towels, an outdoor shower with dressing area, and for the fisherman, a fish cleaning table for your catch! Enjoy outdoor grilling and the colorful ground level conversation area that is the perfect place to relax after your day at the beach and provides outdoor comfort rain or shine.

We provide beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers (one Playmate and one rolling cooler), and a beach cart so you're not burdened carrying everything to the beach. Little ones can enjoy the beach toys and you can even go crabbing (we provide crab traps and bushel baskets!). The lifeguarded beach is a mere 1,290 feet from our front door, and the beach access has showers for you to rinse that beach sand off before your short walk back.

Bath and kitchen towels are provided as well as a hospitality bag with staples to get you started. (Please wash, dry, fold, and put away towels for the next guest to use.)

Outer House features bright, cheerful, beachy décor (check out our collection of sand from beaches we've visited!), a central location in the heart of the Outer Banks, and all you'll need for a great vacation!

Labor Day weekend getaway

Everything was just as it was listed . House was clean and organized easy to find whatever we needed . We had Grandma and two aunts and uncles and one 14 Year old . Plenty of room

OBX Stay

We enjoyed our stay in this well appointed home. The owners have been very generous, providing a well stocked kitchen. They also provide toys, chairs, and beach buggy for going to the beach. Relaxing outside under the cottage or on 1 of 2 decks gives ample space for more fun outdoors. I highly recommend you consider this home for your vacation.

Cozy beach house

I booked this house as a graduation gift for my daughter and her friends. They loved it. The house was so cozy and just a short walk from the beach. I would definitely stay here again.

First stay in OBX

Thank you for a wonderful stay in OBX! The house is close to the beach and convenient to shops and restaurants. My daughter said this is her favorite house we have stayed in with VRBO.

Great Outer Banks house!

This house was one of the best beach houses we have ever stayed in - and we have stayed in a lot! It gets an A+ for cleanliness, organization and providing just what you need for a beach get away. So many times people advertise things and you get there and they are in disrepair, old, etc but the beach buggy and toys were were great, the grill was clean, outside shower was so nice, basics stocked in the kithen, and of course the inside was beautiful! Beach access was convenient as was the grocery store and Duck Donuts (plan ahead - its crowded!) Highly recommend!!

The Borkowski's first came to the Outer Banks over 30 years ago to go fishing out of Hatteras, and have been coming back ever since. Their time in the Outer Banks has always been memorable and pleasurable, and in 2005, they fulfilled a long held dream of owning a home at the beach.

Location, location, location. In the heart of Kill Devil Hills, we are close to everything! We are 430 yards to the Third Street Beach access, an easy 5 minute walk. We love having the pond in the back, and we enjoy feeding the turtles and watching them sun themselves on the bank. If you are lucky, you may see several different species of frogs and lizards, and a turtle may come up and lay her eggs in our yard while croaking bullfrogs lull you to sleep at night

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Our home's unique open floor plan, central location, and proximity to the beach made it irresistible. The dead end street and lifeguarded beach were important to us as our daughter was 8 years old at the time. She would call it the "Outer Banks House" and eventually shortened it to "Outer House", hence the name.
