Moradia de estilo Loft em localização ideal para uma visita a Palma

Um quarto-casa da cidade elegante no centro da cidade. Ela acaba de ser renovado com um alto padrão, mantendo a parede de pedra bonita Mares.

Como você entra pela porta da rua há uma escada até o primeiro andar, onde cozinha e sala de estar está localizado. Há uma sacada aqui também com uma bela vista do bairro antigo da cidade.

A partir do primeiro andar uma segunda escada leva até o quarto andar, onde fica o banheiro e as escadas até ao terraço privado também estão localizados. O quarto tem ar-condicionado.

O terraço privado é um verdadeiro deleite para escapar durante as noites quentes de verão!

Early Autumn break

Have just returned from a four night break to The Barques Town House.

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. A very traditional Spanish property, but with all mod cons, giving the best of both worlds.

There is a quite steep staircase upon entry to the property, so if you have complaining knees it is something to be aware of.

The location is perfect, within walking distance of everything you could possibly need, shops, bars, restaurants, beaches and much more. We walked everywhere easily.

Also took a tripto Soller on the beautiful vintage train, then tram to harbour where we had a lovely lazy lunch (another one ).

Overall we had a great break in Palma and would return to The Barques Town House without hesitation.

Great location! Great house! Responsive managers.

All of the reviews are true. It's a charming house in a perfect location. The owners/managers were responsive and accommodating. I will add that there are plenty of stairs so those that might find that as a problem might want to look elsewhere. I'd also say that hot water was enough for one good shower or two quick showers a night. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Style and Comfort

We recently spent 5 days in Palma staying in this lovely house and found it very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The air conditioning and a very large comfy bed made for a good night's sleep. The kitchen with its large fridge and supply of cookware would make meal preparation a pleasure but with so many great bars and restaurants around we decided not to bother!

Breakfast was taken usually at the cafes near the Santa Catalina Market, just minutes walk away, where we bought fruit and enjoyed viewing the amazing displays of fish and other fresh produce. The restaurant at Es Baluard, just steps from the house, serves great food and their terraces provide fantastic views - it is worth climbing the steps to the upper level for the panoramic view of the Cathedral, Port, Sea and City. The Angel Restaurant just around the corner serves lovely food and wines.

The situation of this property was great for exploring the city. We enjoyed wandering the streets of the old town with their interesting variety of shops and galleries as well as restaurants and Tapas Bars.

Bar Dia on Carrer Apuntadors - lively mix of locals and tourists and generous portions of great tapas.

Sa Drassana Restaurant in Placa Drassana - beautiful rooms, an interesting menu and excellent service from very well trained staff.

The new San Juan Gastronomic Market at S'Escorxador reminded us of the Mercado San Miguel in Madrid with it's stalls supplying different dishes and drinks in a market setting.

Travelling further afield we visited Portixol (walking), Illetes (No 3 bus) and Soller (vintage train and tram) where we we swam in the crystal clear water and relaxed in the wonderful sunshine.

At the end of our days out we returned happily to the comfort and tranquility of Barques de Bou to relax, perhaps on the balcony , upstairs on the roof terrace or curled up on the sofa with a cool drink and plan the next day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and certainly can recommend this property. We hope to visit again some time in the future to further explore Palma and the Island.

Great holiday

We love this place!

* A very well appointed town house offering excellent facilities.

* Situated in the old town, you instantly get a sense of the local community.

* Very close to the Esbaluard gallery and attached fab restaurant, which we enjoyed on several occasions.

* Close to the beautiful harbour and only a couple of minutes walk to The Born with it's great shops, Rialto Living is a must see!, and seemingly endless number of great restaurants, we had some of the best eating we have ever experienced on holiday.

* If you like the beach there are several good ones close by, either a short bus/cab ride or a 20 minute stroll. The beach at Portixol was our favourite and lunch by the pool at Hotel Portixol was a real treat.

* In all we had a great time in the house and are already planning our next trip. We would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Best Holiday Yet - PART 3

One big thing I'll say about Palma is that you are never disappointed with the food. In fact I think you'd have to try pretty hard not to enjoy what you order. We went to so many lovely restaurants but one I'd particularly recommend is L'ospite - about a 2 minute walk (if that) from the house. Turn left out of the front door and walk down the hill past the church on your right and you'll see the restaurant on your left. It served lots of pastas which were to die for. The owner was a very sweet man who couldn't do enough to keep you comfortable.

All in all a perfect holiday made good by the location of our house in Barques de Bou. The only issue was, that my husband wanted a pool but hey - you can't have it all. The house itself was beautiful. Nice big bedroom with a roof terrace and balcony. All beautifully decorated. Very trendy. The balcony was my favourite place. We sat there in the sunshine drinking coffee before going on our days out and sat there in the evenings waiting for the temperature to cool, drinking wine before going out to eat delicious food (and maybe do a spot of shopping).

I'm sure I have forgotten a few things but I can't fit them all into one review. I just felt I needed to share this with everyone because, like I said, it's changed the way we'll plan any future holidays. We will definitely be revisiting Barques de Bou in 2015!

Best Holiday Yet - PART 2

The other bonus to Barques de Bou's location was its close proximity to the galleries. While we were there we were lucky enough to experience Nit de l'Art - an evening where all the galleries open their doors for free to the public. We stepped out of our front door and the (normally calm) streets were buzzing with people eating, drinking and enjoying the artwork. It attracted many locals so it was a fantastic authentic atmosphere. Once we'd had enough of the busy streets, my husband and I headed back to the house where we sat on the balcony overlooking the street drinking wine and watching everyone continue their jollies. Superb!

In fact we spent a lot of time on the balcony. You could sit there and see the children meet from the surrounding houses/apartments to play football in the street before their mothers shouted them in for dinner. Being there made us almost feel like we were living in Palma rather than just tourists, staying in a hotel with lots of other tourists.

However, my husband and I did find our inner child/tourist one day and visited AquaLand. We couldn't resist! This was also very easy to get to but it was quite a walk to the bus stop at the main train station. We got the number 23 all the way to the water park's door. We played around on the slides all day and when we were ready got the bus back - easy. I was nervous about dealing with the public transport but my husband took charge and it turned out to be rather simple.

A casa está localizada em uma área chamada El Puig de Sant Pere. É uma área residencial ocupado em grande parte por classe de trabalho local Mallorquins e vivem a vida no volume máximo! No entanto, em nossa experiência, é normalmente tranqüila de manhã e durante todo o dia; o volume tende a aumentar em direção à tarde, quando as crianças voltam da escola, os trabalhadores retornam e assim por diante, mas quietens cerca de 7: 30/8 pm. É fácil de estacionar no parque de estacionamento subterrâneo público pelo museu Es Baluard.
