A wonderful opportunity in a beautiful location
We visited Carol's property in April of 2024. The rental did not disappoint!
This is a clean, updated, open floorplan with PLENTY of space for the three of us (probably could have been ok with 5 people). Wonderful kitchen, 2 tables/desks to either work at or play board games, spacious bedrooms. Yard is maintained impeccably and the view of the water is fantastic. The beach is accessibly down a someone steep path, but removed enough to enjoy the sea air without actually being ON the beach.
The outdoor dining table, portable hot tub, and the fire pit are great conveniences. We enjoyed the tub every day before bed.
The property is great in that is close enough to town (1 minute), popular parks (5-15 minutes), Victoria (40 mins), and other outdoor destinations (anywhere from 15 minutes to two hours) to enjoy all aspects of the island. The little town of Sooke is a hidden gem that has all the amenities you need!
Carol was an extremely helpful and communicative host. There was an issue with booking on the part of VRBO support, but direct communication with Carol took care of everything. She's the bomb. :-)
The property is just off a (somewhat) busy road. There is some road noise but you can't hear it in the apartment. The road, however, connects with all the great places nearby, so that was convenient. There was some noise from apartment above but never before 9 am and never after 8 pm. We didn't find it to be an issue whatsoever. We strongly recommend this listing!
