Welcome to Alohawaii Properties by the Sea, a registered legal transient accommodations operator with license 90/BB-0013 and registration number GE-039-001-2928-01, TA-039-001-2928-01. We are delighted to share that we have been named the winner of the 2021 Best of Kailua Awards in the category of Vacation Rentals.

Our villa is located on a private beach lane within the exclusive Kailua Gardens estate and features a beautiful pool, hot tub, and Hawaiian gardens. It is equipped with air conditioning in every room, free WiFi, and a washer and dryer stocked with laundry detergent, fabric softener, and bleach. Hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are also provided for your convenience. A second bathroom is located by the pool and is exclusive to the unit. The outdoor area also includes a gas BBQ, bikes, boogie boards, coolers, beach chairs, mats, and towels.

The highlight of our villa is not only its stunning outdoor amenities, but also its prime location just a short walk down a private beach lane from Kailua Beach, recognized as one of the most beautiful beaches in the country. The calm waters, thanks to the coral reef just half a mile offshore, make it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. You can also spend hours walking along the beach, marveling at the stunning sunrise and moonrise over the ocean.

Quick vacation

Short stay in Kailua and GREAT location by the beach! Unit was set up well with amenities and peaceful & quiet. Enjoyed the sitting area on the porch with the pool, hot tub and lush flora. Recommend and would return!

WOW location!

We were SO glad to find a wonderful property on the less crowded, less busy, less touristy side of the island! The location is perfect for experiencing the Windward coast’s glorious beaches and small towns. Yet we also found it easy to get to the North Shore, Honolulu, Pearl Harbor, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay! You can’t get any closer to fabulous Kailua Beach! We found it to be the best beach for long beach walks because of the hard packed sand. The unit is very accurately described in the VRBO listing. Our group of 4 adults had plenty of space for seating and spreading out our stuff. Having the second downstairs bathroom reserved for the unit was a real help! We didn’t have any issues sharing the pool, hot tub, washer/dryer with the other units. We were happy to find lots of condiments in the fridge and coffee in the pantry! We found the owners to be charming and helpful. We enjoyed the story of the beautiful carved palm tree. FYI, only room for one car for this unit. We parked our second car right by Kailua beach park, on the street, just across the street from the property.

Family vacation

Our family of five had a wonderful stay here. Location is great, pool and hot tub were very nice, and the beds are very comfortable. Nice kitchen as well. And the property owners were very nice and responsive.

Amazing location to the best beaches

We enjoyed our time. The proximity to Kailau and Laniki beach was fantastic. Loved the pillbox hike and multiple sunrises. Some of the shared spaces wasn’t totally clear to me but everyone was friendly and respectful.

Can't wait to come back

We loved our stay in Kailua. We came to visit friends who live down the street but I'd recommend this lovely apartment to anyone visiting Hawaii. Kailua Beach is across the street and is so beautiful, and Lanikai is a short 10 min walk and even more beautiful. The pool at the apartment was a nice break for my kids to get out of the sun, and the place was easy and comfortable for our week in Hawaii. We are already planning our next trip!

We lived in Colorado for 10 years and had our first child, She was 3 months premature and weighed in at a whopping 1 pound!! When she turned one, she weighed almost 10 pounds. Her doctor said that she would grow if we moved her to a warmer climate.. that it was difficult for her to maintain a 98.6 degree body temperature without burning so many calories. So, we moved to Hawaii.. with $500 in the bank and our little daughter. That was in December, 1979. And here we are 40 years later. She has since married, given birth to our grandaughters, and has moved back to Colorado. We had our son after moving to Hawaii. He married his high school sweetheart and they have 2 sons. And, he just began working for us full time!
There's more to the story, so come and stay with us to hear the rest. We love our guests and have many repeat visitors to our lovely rentals.

We bought our house before it became a vacation rental. We owned a small travel agency and people were always asking if there was anywhere to stay other than Waikiki. So we decided to rent out some rooms in our home to accommodate our clients and to make a little extra money. There were no hotels in our town and the beach was just gorgeous. Little did we know that Kailua would become such a B&B mecca.

You will love the hospitality and service we provide our guests. The beach is absolutely gorgeous and the property is like walking into Shangri La. Steve's gardens are breathtaking and the pool is beautiful.
