As the owners of Southern Vieux Cabin, we are thrilled to share our mountain-side sanctuary with any couple or small family searching for a private and charming getaway. Our cabin is the ideal place to unwind on your honeymoon and create lasting memories as you enjoy the romantic beauty of surrounding nature. While Southern Vieux Cabin lies tucked away in the wooded wonderland, it also provides easy access to the city’s nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping in the arts and crafts community, guaranteeing you every desired aspect of your vacation.

Southern Vieux Cabin allows you to rest in the quiet paradise with its beautiful king bed loft bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, well equipped kitchen, and living room containing a queen sofa sleeper. The master bedroom and bathroom offer the most romantic setting and beautiful mountain views while lounging in the king-sized bed and relaxing in the heart-shaped Jacuzzi tub. The sunrise and natural lighting begs you to enjoy a morning cup of coffee from the comfort of the bed while beholding an enchanting view of Mount LeConte.

However, the master bedroom and bathroom is not the only place to soak in the natural bliss of the mountains’ embrace. Enjoy the intimacy of the cozy fire among the gas log fireplace, or become mesmerized from the private hot tub and 2 rocking chairs on the balcony overlooking the Southern Views, wooded mountain, and ample wildlife. The balcony and fireplace add to the romantic and private setting you are looking for, perfect for sipping on an early morning cup of tea or a late night glass of wine.

Our wooded oasis lies amid a flat parking drive without any steep roads on the drive up, offering easy access to the door; and it provides attractive amenities including a functioning washer and dryer, pool table and Pac-Man multi-gaming system for friendly competitions, and a charcoal grill with surrounding grassy areas perfect for casual cookouts and picnics.

Birthday getaway

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful cabin. It was lovely waking up to the view of Mt. LeConte and sipping coffee in the front porch rocking chairs while listening to the surrounding birdsong. We went on several wildflower hikes in the Greenbrier area which was conveniently close. The hot tub and heart shaped jacuzzi were very relaxing. The pool table and arcade games were fun. Christie, the host, was very responsive.

Great stay for a couple!

This cabin was a great place to stay for my husband and I! I would highly recommend it for a couple. Not so much for more than that. There are 3 other cabins in close proximity but it still felt private and was mostly quiet since most people, including ourselves, were gone most of the day. The hot tub and jacuzzi both worked fine. The cabin was clean. Didn’t use anything in the kitchen except for the microwave and refrigerator but it seemed fairly well stocked. The living room furniture isn’t the best but functional. The king bed has a bit of a dip in it. Kinda had to climb up out of bed in the mornings but wouldn’t keep me from staying here again. The loft floors are very creaky and make a lot of noise when you walk around. Bathrooms are small but nice enough. Takes roughly 15-20 minutes to get to Gatlinburg or pigeon Forge from the cabin. There was a ton of traffic the week we were there. Internet in the cabin worked good. Our cell service in the area was basically nonexistent so make sure to have the check in procedures printed out or saved before you arrive. Driveway to get to cabin is a bit steep but the parking is flat. My 2 wheel drive car worked just fine though we had good weather. Views are nice. You won’t regret staying here!

Perfectly furnished cabin

This was my first VRBO rental. I would have to dig really deep to find anything wrong with this property. It was beautifully decorated. The upstairs bed was wonderful. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. It was a great rental experience. Also, the host is a great communicator. She was very quick to respond when we had questions. My wife and I both highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg.

Cute Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, nice views. Shower in the downstairs has zero water pressure though, making it unusable as a shower as it just dribbles down. Overall, great stay though!

Fantastic Cabin

The cabin was beautiful and very clean with very nice appliances. The view was spectacular, especially waking up with the view from the window looking straight at the mountain. 5 stars, would recommend

This property is our first investment. It possesses every little feature that creates an ambiance of a 'Home Away from Home.' We hope that you enjoy this cabin as much as we do! The name Southern Vieux was very difficult to choose because we wanted a name that encompasses a Southern Identity. One would think that the word "Southern" encompasses the South; however, the word Vieux (pronounced view) was borrowed from "Vieux Carre," which is another term for the Famous New Orleans French Quarter. The word Southern describes the direction our visitors look to see the amazing view of Mt. LeConte.
