Wonderful Get Away
This is a very nice accommodation. It is well appointed and furnished. Everything you need! The owner is immediately responsive to any questions and issues, and takes great pride in the property. The location is perfect for sitting and chatting and enjoying the view, if weather does not allow outside activity. The access to the quaint town of Zionsville is perfect, and the until has a notebook with many helpful suggestions of where to eat, shop, and move about Zionsville and surrounding areas. Highly recommend!
Weekend stay in Zionsville, IN
The home in Zionsville is in a nice wooded setting. The home is nice, great kitchen area. The master bedroom is really nice. Plenty of space for family. The kids enjoyed the zip line.
Great family getaway!
Loved the house & the property that it sits on. It had everything we needed.
amazing retreat home
this house was the absolute perfect place for our womens retreat that I hosted!!! the house was beautiful and clean and the scenery was just beautiful!! we all loved doing the zip line and sitting around the fire pit! great location and easy to get to! would highly recommend and will for sure be staying again if I am back In the indy area!!
only thing bring extra toilet paper & paper towels but that was a easy fix for us since they are so close to a super target!!!
thank you again! it was amazing!
The house is beautiful and I loved being back in the woods
Overall our stay was very enjoyable. After a long day at the track it was good to back and relax. It was way better than staying in a hotel. I only had a couple of issues i rhink could be improved. The first one was upon arrival there were sheets left in the dryer, towels in the washer, and dishes in the dishwasher. I took the sheets out if the dryer, pit the towels in the dryer. Since i wasn't sure if the dishes were clean, i ran the dishwasher. This was very disappointing as I was very tired from a long cross country drive. But did not want their towels to get mildewed. There also seemed to be a shortage of wash cloths. There were three of us and only two was cloths. There we several very rusty pans and some rusty utensils, but was able to find usable ones that fit our needs. (Please discard those rusty pans).
Everything else was absolutely wonderful and i would highly recommend this place again.
This Retreat is a Real Treat!
The Starkey Retreat was meant to be no more than a place for our family to bunk while we were in the area for a family wedding, but it was so much more! The house itself is wonderful and all the "windows to the woods" were a delight for these city dwellers. Our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren came up from Florida while our son, son-in-law's Mom, my husband and I drove from the Chicago area. From the outset, we felt "at home", in no small measure due to the great info we'd received from Gabe via e-mail prior to our stay. After our arrival, we had a couple of questions unique to our stay and our e-mail queries were answered promptly. Our 11 year old granddaughter loved the zipline and our 2 year old grandson loved watching her on it! The bicycles were a wonderful touch - our son-in-law went exploring with our grandchildren and happened upon The Fall Festival at Lions Park. It didn't take long for the rest of us to join them! Our stay was too brief, but it was a joy and enabled us to be together as a family. Now, all we have to do is find another reason to gather in Zionsville again!
