IDEALLY SITUATED ON WEST SIDE OF NATURAL CANAL WITH DIRECT ICW ACCESS
La Brisa is ideally situated on the west side of one of the very few natural canals on OIB. So, the canal side of the house is shaded from the hot afternoon summer sun. Our canal directly accesses the Intra Coastal Waterway, which is only 500 yards to the north.

SHORT WALK/BIKE RIDE TO EVERYTHING
La Brisa is short 500 yds to the pristine, wide beaches of Ocean Isle. The closest beach access is Monroe Street, which has parking for cars, golf carts and bicycles. It's a 6-min walk or 2-min bike ride. Public restrooms and showers are also located there.

It's also a short walk (or even shorter bike ride) to OIB's restaurants, the fishing pier, ice cream shops, mini golf, and arcades, the Carolina Coastal Museum and the new Town Park. The Town Park is also the site of the Friday Night Concert Series that runs all summer. Families like the close proximity to the shops, pier, etc. because younger kids can easily walk or bike to the attractions.

MASSIVE REAR DECK AND TIKI BAR!
Massive rear deck with a 24' x 8' covered portion, a 14' x 12' uncovered portion, and a 12' by 10' pergola covered portion. The covered portion has three comfortable rocking chairs, and is directly accessed by the canal left side bedroom and the master bedroom. A seating area in the uncovered portion includes a Breezesta 4-top bistro table overlooking the lush yard and the canal. Two Breezesta chaise lounges are partially shaded by pergola covered portion.

We also have a custom built Tiki bar. The large 8'x14' Tiki bar is under the house and is built from reclaimed wood from the original rear deck. A custom built cypress bar top is gorgeous but should be rugged enough. Behind the bar is a built-in 65 qt. cooler for ice and drinks. On the canal side of the Tiki bar is a large 12'x14' Trex deck with a teak seating area and a hammock.

MASTER BEDROOM SUITE
We recently expanded (2019) our master bedroom suite. We enclosed 96 sq ft of the original, covered deck, which created room for a king bed and a private, master bathroom. Two double sliders provide amazing water views and access the covered and pergola covered portions of the rear deck. We also installed a remote controlled, Mitsubishi "mini-split" wall unit that individually heats and cools the master suite. Also found in the master suite is a 39" smart HDTV with YouTube TV.

The private, master bath is accessed via a sliding door and features a large, marble vanity. The master bath accesses a buddy shower room with a custom tiled shower.

A private bath for the front right bedroom also has a marble vanity and accesses the shower room.

The master suite and new bathrooms are finished with shiplap walls and engineered plank flooring.

HUGE FRONT PORCH!
A huge (24'x10') porch is on the street side of the house, with separate seating and dining areas. The dining area has a bistro table with two bar-height Adirondack chairs, and the seating area includes a double Adirondack glider and two Adirondack rockers.

The front porch is partially covered, and is a great spot for a morning cup of java or enjoying one of OIB's epic sunsets. The front porch also features Trex decking and built-in architectural lighting. The porch is accessed by lighted stairs that are covered so you can stay dry in the unfortunate event of rain when you arrive or leave.

FREE KAYAKS, BIKES, BED LINENS, BEACH CHAIRS AND BEACH TOWELS
The local rental companies say, "Don't pack it, rent it." We say, "Don't pack it or rent it, just show up!"

Use of our 3 kayaks (one 13.5' Perception Tribe tandem and two 9.5' Perception Tribe singles) is included in the rental fee! We also provide paddles and personal floatation devices. (If you rented these three kayaks locally, you would pay $400/week.*)

We also provide 4 adult bicycles, at no extra charge, so you can take advantage of our awesome location and bike to the beaches, shops and restaurants. This saves you $160/week* or the hassle of schlepping your bicycles all the way to the beach.

Unlike most OIB vacation rentals, we also provide quality bed linens, pillows and blankets for all beds, at no extra charge We also provide 4 beach chairs, and beach towels, also at no extra charge. This saves you the $183/week* if rented locally and frees up all that space in your luggage and vehicle.

DOCK, PIER AND RAMP
We have a recently rebuilt 8'x14' floating dock that is a perfect place to park your boat or jet skis, crab or fish, swim in the canal, or just relax.

We also have a large (10'x12'), recently rebuilt fixed pier with built-in seating around three sides. The pier is connected to the dock by a custom built, wide (4'x12') aluminum ramp. An aluminum, ladder on the floating dock makes for easy access to the water for swimming in the canal, launching kayaks, etc.

TONS OF OUTDOOR LIVING SPACE/PROFESSIONALLY LANDSCAPED YARD
La Brisa features tons of outdoor living space to enjoy the water views and ocean breezes. The front and rear decks, and the tiki bar total 1000 sq. ft. of finished, outdoor space.

In addition, there is another covered area under the house and behind the Tiki bar, which includes a large picnic table and a back bar, where you can enjoying a rousing game of ring toss.

Completing the outdoor living spaces is the large (10'x12') pier extending into the canal, with built-in seating on three sides, and a floating dock with a built-in bench. We also have four (4) light weight Adirondack chairs that can be easily moved down to the dock or pier or to wherever they are needed.

You can enjoy our professionally landscaped and maintained yard from any of the outdoor spaces. We have planted several varieties of palm trees, native grasses, annuals, perennials, and an herb garden. Our beautiful Zoysia lawn is great for any outdoor activity!

VINTAGE CHARM, BUT UPDATED
The house has been renovated and updated. The center portion of the interior features a light filled, open living/dining/kitchen area. The renovation preserved the cottage's vintage charm by keeping the original vaulted ceiling, exposed beams, tongue and groove paneling and architectural windows on the front and rear gables. There are tile floors in the main living areas and engineered plank flooring in all bedrooms and bathrooms.

The kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and maple cabinets. We added a shiplap accent wall and subway tile backsplash in the kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the expected cooking and dining utensils, pots and pans and appliances.

Two remote controlled ceiling fans in the main living area help keep things cool and comfortable, if you like the windows open. If not, the brand new HVAC system will definitely keep you cool.

AWESOME ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS
The living area has a 55", flat panel, smart 4K HDTV with, YouTube TV streaming service, DVR and a DVD player. There is also a state-of-the-art SONOS sound system for watching movies in surround sound and streaming your favorite tunes. Free and robust Wi-Fi is provided.

UPDATED OUTDOOR BATHROOM; LAUNDRY ROOM
Also on the ground level is an updated full, outdoor bathroom with Trex flooring. The shower has hot and cold water, a large sink and a separate water closet with a toilet.

Next to the outdoor bathroom is a laundry/storage area with a full size washer and dryer and a second refrigerator/freezer. The bikes, beach chairs, corn hole game, paddles, PFD's, and other toys are stored in the laundry room.

LEGENDARY GOLF: PERFECT FOR A FOURSOME
Golfers welcome! The golf in this region is legendary, particularly, in the spring and fall. And, our four (4) bedroom house sets up perfectly for a foursome. Enjoy the great golf and then relax and enjoy the canal or the beach, which is a short six (6) minute walk.

There are over 100 golf courses, from Myrtle Beach to Wilmington, within a 1 hour drive, and at least a dozen within a 15 minute drive. Some notables near by include the Thistle, Crow's Creek, River's Edge, Sea Trail (Jones, Maples or Byrd courses) the Pearl , Oyster Bay Sandpiper Bay, etc., etc., etc.

OIB is also between Wilmington NC and Myrtle Beach SC, and all of the restaurants, entertainment, shopping and cultural amenities they provide.

No smoking. No pets.

NOTE: We have two outdoor cameras, one in the front that is directed to the front stairs, and one in the rear that is directed towards the rear stairs.

A house with all the trimmings & a fab outdoor space!
This house considers every detail. They have kayaks for use, bikes to ride, and lots of beach stuff (chairs, umbrella, wagon, boogie boards, sand buckets, etc). And everything was in very good working condition. We are a family of 5 and this house worked well for us. Everyone had their own room with a TV and desk. But the outdoor space is what makes this house so special. 2 levels of trex decking with lounges, hammocks, chairs, a tiki bar, a table for games, and more. And the outdoor shower is fabulous! No one showered indoors all week! We thoroughly enjoyed spending time as a family outdoors at this property. Thanks to the owners for sharing this wonderful space with us.

Amazing home!
If I could give this vacation home 10 stars I would. With all the amazing amenities such as bikes, kayaks, games, fire pit there was never a dull moment. It all started with great communication from the owners with such helpful information on grocery shopping, dining and things to do. We started with an “iffy” weather forecast but as you know, it’s always sunny at the beach, and it was. Thanks to all the add-ons there was no time for TV or puzzles. Most of our time was spent outside either sunning on the deck, riding bikes, kayaking and at night sitting downstairs sharing old and new stories by a fire. We will definitely return to this vacation home as it was the nicest, well maintained, fully stocked rentals we have used. You can just see that the owners really want to create a wonderful experience for their guests.

We are from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We purchased this property to enjoy the beautiful beaches and waterways of OIB with our family. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We have been lucky enough to travel widely and have been frequent VRBO guests. So, we certainly know the business from that perspective. We are looking forward to applying all of our hard-earned field knowledge to being hosts.

If you're reading this, you're likely already sold on OIB. We've always liked the south facing Brunswick beaches. They seem to be wider and the water is calmer. OIB's proximity to Wilmington, Southport and Myrtle Beach and about 100 golf courses, were also big draws. OIB, in our view, has more amenities on the island and that are walkable, especially, compared to Sunset and Holden.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

This is not your typical vacation “rental mule.” La Brisa will feel more like a home. We purposely chose the VRBO route, rather than a rental agency. We want guests who will appreciate the value we provide and the differences between our cottage and a typical vacation rental. So what are some the differences?

We provide high quality linens at no charge. Most vacation rentals require you to arrange and pay for a linen service. And, what you get are those worn, scratchy, starchy cotton sheets. We also don't ask you to wash the linens, or even strip the beds.

We provide and maintain three (3) kayaks, four (4) bicycles and four (4) beach chairs at no charge. These are kayaks, bikes and chairs that we use and we share with our friends and family, as well as our guests. You will appreciate not having to go through the hassle and expense of packing bikes and beach chairs into your vehicle, or renting them after arrival.

Then there are the little things. We provide paper products, dish detergent, laundry detergent. We provide some basic spices and cooking staples. We provide nicer pots and pans, utensils and dishes. We have a blender, a juicer, and a panini grill. Each bedroom has a digital clock with USB ports for charging phones, etc. There's more, but you get the idea.

Another unique benefit of La Brisa is the awesome location. It has the best of both worlds. It's on a canal with direct ICW access but also a short walk (6 min.) or bike ride (2min.) to the beach access. We have a private dock on a deep water canal for swimming, boating, kayaking, crabbing and fishing. You can walk to "downtown" OIB and its restaurants, shops, mini-golf and the Friday night concerts at the Town Park.
