Set in an area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty' our very comfortable, luxurious and cosy cottages are surrounded by stunning valley views. The Old Dairy has the most beautiful vista, terrace and large private garden all to yourselves and is detached. The Courtyard (semi detached with the owners) has the cutest of a country garden with seating and dining table. Both properties have enclosed parking and are unoverlooked. They are adjacent to each other across a large courtyard and have everything for a relaxing and romantic get away. Snuggle in next to the log burning stove and you just won't want to go outside! The decor and furnishings are beautifully maintained and our guests comfort is a priority. Timble village is the perfect base for touring The Yorkshire Dales and all it's treasures. Surrounded by Harrogate, Pately Bridge, Ripon, Ilkley and Skipton. There's so much to see and do and lots of reasons to return. The general area is very well suited for walkers, cyclists, fishing, golfing or just relaxing. Situated in the village of Timble in Nidderdale it is only a 2 minute walk from the local excellent restaurant and pub. The properties are perfect for 2 couples who wish to holiday together but require seperate accommodation.
Private dining is available for special occasions or if you have had a busy day touring!

What a lovely cottage

A lot of thought and effort has gone into providing a really excellent holiday cottage for 2. The location is very good for both walking and sightseeing. The cottage was beautifully presented and very well equipped and we felt so comfortable. The owners take a lot of care to ensure everything is just right.

Great accommodation and location

Great accommodation in a picturesque setting with pleasant walking all around. Accommodation has everything you need and was nicely prepared for us with log burner and central heating providing a warm reception.

High end cottage

Beautiful but expensive cottage with easy access to the Dales for cycling walking or driving to the National Park. Well equipped and very friendly hosts. Note local pub not open for evening meals much of the week!

A quiet, peaceful and well appointed cottage

Tastefully decorated to a high standard with all mod cons available. Nice welcoming touch from the owner with flowers, wine and a warming glow from the log burner. The cottage is in a quiet hamlet within easy reach of places to visit and lots of country walks starting from your front door.

Peaceful, tranquil and a perfect base to explore surrounding towns and cities.

We had a really relaxing stay at this lovely cottage in the beautiful setting of Timble. It was wonderful chilling out with the log burner on and a glass or two of wine. The cottage itself is decorated and furnished to a really high standard (the bathroom is gorgeous). Dawn and her husband were lovely too. Can’t fault a thing - we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a base to visit Leeds, Harrogate, Otley or even York as it’s all nearby.

My little 'cottage' industry started in 2002 when myself and my husband decided to restore a very run down but beautiful Yorkshire stone barn on our property.
The Old Dairy was completed and has been such a success that in 2013 we opened our new cottage 'The Courtyard. Still part of our barn conversion and adjacent to The Old Dairy the cottages are perfect for 2 couples who like to holiday together but prefer their own 'space'.
Our ethos in the new cottage was to create a beautiful space in the former school mistresses house. 'Affordable Luxury' was our focus and we are delighted with the outcome.

Although we have owned the property since 1997 The Old Dairy Cottage was only converted in 2002. Once a former outbuilding and dairy the restoration was needed to preserve the structure. The reason I have chosen to have a holiday cottage in this area is that it is just the perfect environment for relaxing, walking, cycling and to tour around and enjoy the wonderful things The Yorkshire Dales has to offer. Situated in a dedicated area of 'Outstanding Natural Beauty' the views from the cottage take a lot to beat. It's actually so good that I live next door! It's like being on holiday for me 365 days of the year.
The success of The Old Dairy encouraged us to open 'The Courtyard' in March 2013. We just couldn't supply the demand for luxury accommodation and regularly had to turn enquiries away. 3 months of hard work converting another part of our property produced The Courtyard Cottage but was well worth the effort. We are delighted with the outcome!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Perfectly situated for touring around Yorkshire and no more than a few miles from most of the major places of interest. Harrogate, Skipton, Ilkley, Ripon, York, Grassington, Masham etc. etc. the list is endless.
The village of Timble has a wonderful local pub/restaurant serving great food. With it being only a 2 minute walk from the cottage there is no need to drive out for a meal.
Alternatively, I can serve an evening meal in the cottage. My catering business has the necessary permits to allow me to offer this service. All freshly cooked using local ingredients this is a facility quite unique to holiday cottages.
