You'll find yourself surrounded by cherry and apple orchards, hops farms and fields of sweet smelling hay. Fresh eggs can be purchased just down the driveway. Stonegable has a new generator (2023) for storms. Runs everything but stove and microwave ( grill on site) . So you will have water, lights, shot water heater for howers, refrigerator. and heat in the event of a storm. that results in loss of power. Very few rental properties in Empire or northern Michigan have a generator back up plan which can save a vacation.
The home sports a gallery of original oil paintings of the property by a local artist which are all available for purchase. It’s a perfect property for a couples retreat , artists, writers, photographers,conservationists, bird watchers, nature lovers,and astronomers.

Lake Michigan is also just just two miles away. A basketball court, beach volley ball, playground, and Empire public beach are available for guests enjoyment. Area is perfect for hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, kayaking or just lying on the beach. There are boat launches nearby for both Lake Michigan and South Bar Lake. Only 8 miles to Glen Arbor and 25 minutes to Traverse City.
